WWE 2K22 Update Adds NXT 2.0 Arena And MyGM Tag Team Titles
The launch of WWE 2K22 was a very big deal for what was a floundering series following the arrival of 2K20. The new game needed to be a hit when it launched last month, and early reactions and a lack of glitches and memes being shared online suggest 2K has hit the nail on the head. WWE 2K22 might not be perfect, but it is a marked improvement on what came before. Even better, the studio continues to exhibit that it's listening and dedicated to making the game even better.
Update 1.09
That has been demonstrated this week by 2K22's 1.09 update. The patch is available now and includes a long list of additions and improvements. Leading the way is the arrival of the NXT 2.0 arena which can now be used across all 2K22's modes. The transition from the old NXT to the new one happened deep into 2K22's development, hence why the arena was not a part of the game at launch.

The next biggest change comes in the form of some significant tweaks to MyGM. While the mode is a welcome addition to the series, it is currently pretty basic. This week's update has added Tag Team Titles to MyGM. Until now players have only been able to book title matches where the World and Women's Championships are on the line. You can also up the size of your match cards when playing on normal or hard difficulty.
MyGM And AI Improvements
A lot more changes have been made providing you have the latest update applied. Significant improvements have been made to gameplay, most of which revolve around how the game's AI reacts to what you do and interacts with you during various matches and scenarios. Apparently, improvements have been made to Superstars' hair too, an area of WWE 2K's games that has been left wanting for a very long time.
The latest WWE 2K22 patch comes one week before the game's first DLC becomes available. 28 more Superstars will be added to what is already a pretty sizable roster starting with the Banzai Pack on April 26. The pack gets its name from Yokozuna, Umaga, and Rikishi who are all included. Omos and Kacy Catanzaro will also be a part of the Banzai Pack, presumably not under her new ring name for the latter.
