Wrestlers With The Highest Win Percentages In WCW

Maybe wins and losses are not so important in wrestling, but these kinds of stats are always interesting to have a little idea of how a wrestler was booked. Obviously, in this list, there will be mostly babyfaces, because the heels lose a lot of matches. So don't be surprised if you don't see Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan on this list.

It is worth mentioning that we will take into account all types of matches, including House Shows and live events. Also, you should know that to qualify, we set a minimum of 100 matches in the promotion. So, without further ado, let's take a look at the wrestlers with the highest winning percentages in WCW.

Ultimo Dragon worked for WCW between 1996 and 1998. He had 134 matches in total, of which he won 94. That's why he has an excellent winning percentage of 70.1%.

If we talk about singles matches only, his percentage improves a bit (71.4%). In his brief WCW period, Ultimo Dragon was a two-time Cruiserweight Champion and a two-time World Television Champion as well.

9 PN News (71.7%)

He worked for WCW for only one year, but he wrestled a lot, as he had 127 matches. PN News won 91 matches, lost 32, and drew 4, although he never had a major win, let alone a memorable match.

8 Johnny B. Badd (71.8%)

Johnny B. Badd (also known as Marc Mero) was never a main eventer or a superstar, but he dominated the mid-card in WCW. As proof of this, we only have to look at his win percentage, which is 71.8%, the product of 389 wins in 542 matches.

Johnny B. Badd beat wrestlers like Arn Anderson, Lord Steven Regal, Bobby Eaton, Diamond Dallas Page, Brian Pillman, Paul Orndorff, and Lex Luger. It is also worth mentioning that he was a three-time WCW World Television Champion.

7 The Cat (72.5%)

Ernest "The Cat" Miller worked for WCW between 1997 and 2001. He never won a title, but he did win many matches, including several PPV matches. Miller finished his WCW career with an impressive winning percentage of 72.5, coming out on top in 190 of his 262 matches.

Over the years, The Cat defeated wrestlers such as Lance Storm, Jim Duggan, Rick Steiner, Bam Bam Bigelow, The Franchise, and The Great Muta, among others. He was nowhere near being among the best wrestlers in the company, but he still defeated the vast majority of his opponents.

In tag team action, Steiner won 82.1% of his matches. Meanwhile, in singles matches, he posted a winning percentage of 61.2. Either way, he was an iconic wrestler in WCW, who was used to winning. It is worth mentioning that Steiner won 11 titles in WCW.

4 Rick Steiner (77.1%)

As you probably expected, Scott's brother, Rick Steiner, also has an amazing win percentage, but perhaps what you didn't expect was that it was even higher than Scott's. Rick won 895 of his 1161 matches in WCW. He won 80.3% of his tag team matches, and 70.2% of his singles matches.

Many fans think that Scott was better as a singles star, but Rick had a better win percentage. But this time we will not discuss who was better, what is clear is that The Steiner Brothers won a lot of matches in WCW.

3 El Gigante (79%)

El Gigante, also known as Giant Gonzales in WWE, had a 79-win percentage in WCW. That’s right, one of the worst wrestlers of all time had a fantastic win/loss record, which makes us think that wins and losses don’t matter at all.

El Gigante had 195 matches in WCW, and he won 154 of them, although most of them were on House Shows. It is worth mentioning that El Gigante never lost a televised singles match in WCW, as he had a 13-0 record.

2 Sting (79.8%)

Sting as WCW Champion.

Sting is arguably the greatest wrestler in WCW history, as he worked for WCW from start to finish, and starred in several memorable moments throughout his career. He was an authentic babyface, a fan favorite, and extremely talented, so it's no wonder he won the vast majority of his matches in the company.

Sting won 1,153 matches, lost 217, and drew 74, which gives him a 79.8 win percentage. In terms of singles action, his win percentage is pretty much the same (79.5%).

1 Goldberg (87.3%)

In fact, he had an undefeated streak of 173 matches, or so it is officially recorded. Goldberg had 316 WCW matches in total, of which he won 276, lost 22, and drew 18, for a win percentage of 87.3. But in singles action, his record is even more impressive, 259 wins, eight losses, and 13 draws (92.5%).
