Who Is Georgia Hall's Caddie?

England’s Georgia Hall had the wonderful experience of sharing her AIG Women’s Open victory in 2018 with her father, Wayne, who caddied for her during that incredible week at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Her boyfriend, Harry Tyrrell, himself an aspiring golf professional, took on the role some time afterwards, and the pair enjoyed a successful partnership on the course, but it’s now Colin Cann who has the job.

Cann is an experienced bagman, and has worked with a number of other top female professionals, including Celine Boutier of France, Japan’s Yui Kawamoto, South Korean Sung Hyun Park and US star Jessica Korda.

Going back further, the London-born looper also caddied for Paula Creamer, with whom he enjoyed a number of victories, including the 2010 U.S. Women's Open at Oakmont Country Club.

The pair, who became close friends, parted company after the CME Group Tour Championship in November 2016, with Cann teaming up with Park, and it marked the end of one of the longest running LPGA player-caddie partnerships.

“Colin and I have had a great 12 years together, but it was just time for a change for both of us,” Creamer said of Cann, who served as “man of honor” at her wedding in 2014. “It’s a mutual decision.”

Cann, a keen golfer himself, has been based in the States for 20 years, the majority of which he has spent living in Seattle. He started playing golf at the age of 14, and has now been caddying for almost three decades.

It’s no surprise that he lists caddying for Creamer during her 2010 Major success as one of his career highlights, although he says that “building a partnership with a player” is the most enjoyable aspect of his job.

Cann’s impressive resume also includes caddying for former world number one, Annika Sorenstam, and Korean star Se Ri Pak.
