The Miz Will Host WWE WrestleMania 39

This week’s WWE Raw was an eventful show, including Lita and Becky Lynch capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Trish Stratus in their corner, and the road to WrestleMania continuing to take shape with Brock Lesnar vs. Omos seemingly becoming official and the wheels set in motion for Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley. Another noteworthy development came up for the biggest show of the year when a Miz TV segment included the breaking news The Miz will host WrestleMania this year.

The Miz Is A Natural Host As WrestleMania Goes Hollywood

Miz WrestleMania Host

Given The Miz’s A-Lister persona, it only makes sense he’d factor heavily into this year’s WrestleMania from Los Angeles. On the other hand, Miz hasn’t exactly had a push for some time. Despite having a history as a WrestleMania main eventer being a two-time WWE Champion, his last major PPV match was at SummerSlam, where he was there to put over Logan Paul. He's spent recent months involved in less than stellar storylines with Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano.

The hosting gig capitalizes on him being a well-established name in WWE and a strong talker. All considered, it may well be the best way to take advantage of what he brings to the table.

The Miz Joins An Interesting List Of WWE WrestleMania Hosts

Rock Alexa Bliss WrestleMania Host

WWE started featuring WrestleMania hosts back at in 2011, when The Rock’s return to the WWE Universe made major waves. Hulk Hogan is the lone two-time host for WrestleManias 30 and 37. Besides those two legends of WrestleMania, the people charged with this duty have included New Day, Alexa Bliss, Rob Gronkowski, and Titus O’Neil. With all due respect to them, those hosts certainly weren’t all WWE Mt. Rushmore candidates, and as such, The Miz fits as a more than qualified candidate for the job.

WrestleMania 39 is taking shapely nicely with a showdown between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns and women’s championship matches pitting Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair vs. Asuka all looking to deliver a solid edition of the event. The Miz hosting should offer a harmless diversion, featuring a well-established, underappreciated part of the WWE landscape and a skilled promo guy doing wat he does best.
