The Hollywood Legend Is Worth More Than You Think
Not only does he work hard, picking good projects along the way, but Ethan Hawke is very smart with his money. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the actor decided to take a pay cut when starring in 2013's The Purge in exchange for some of the movie's profits instead. While the initial reason was to help out his best friend, Jason Blum, who was producing the film, the gamble paid off, earning Hawke millions.
The fact that he was willing to help out a friend could also be why so many people want to work with Hawke. He's a good guy with serious talent, and he'll soon be joining the biggest franchise in Hollywood right now — the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to ComicBook.com, Hawke is about to start filming the Disney+ series Moon Knight with Star Wars alum Oscar Isaac as the lead. The series, based off of the Marvel comic, is expected to premiere in 2022 on the streaming platform. So, Hawke's already got some big projects for next year, and you can only expect more once he is in the MCU.
