The 8 Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits (So Far), Ranked By Power

While some One Piece fans say that the devil fruits' power depends on the user, some are inherently stronger and have a higher potential than others.

The fight against Kaido has gotten even more intense in One Piece, as it forced Luffy to produce new powerups that are extremely needed to battle Kaido. In an unexpected turn of events, Luffy has awakened his devil fruit, which turns out to be actually a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit based on a legendary figure, giving him a new form and set of abilities.

Mythical Zoan devil fruits are extremely rare, as they are even rarer than Logia-type devil fruits, which are among the most powerful out there. In fact, Mythical Zoan devil fruits are only introduced in two arcs, where two are first seen in Marineford Arc, and six debuted in the Wano arc, One Piece's current and longest-running arc so far. While people say that the devil fruits' power depends on the user, some of those are inherently stronger and have higher potential than others.

8 Human-Human Fruit, Model: Onyudo

The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Onyudo has the power to turn its user into an onyudo, which is a mythological, human-like yokai who takes the form of a four-meter monk. Because this fruit is part of the Human-Human Fruit series, it gives a nonhuman user human intellect and the capacity to communicate in human speech.

The fruit is currently eaten by Onimaru, a fox who takes on the identity of Gyukimaru in his human form. Onimaru's onyudo form is extremely powerful, and he could match one of the strongest swordsmen, Roronoa Zoro's physical strength and agility for a while. The fruit is currently ranked bottom as no mythical abilities have been shown yet aside from the transformation itself.

7 Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Nine-Tailed Fox

The Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Nine-Tailed Fox turns the user into a mythical kitsune, a fox with nine enormous tails. It can also allow the user to morph into whoever they want, including their clothing and voice.

It is currently eaten by Catarina Devon, who is the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates' Sixth Ship and one of the Ten Titanic Captains. She was the most deadly female pirate to be imprisoned in Impel Down throughout the entire era of pirates. Marshall D. Teach let her free during the events of the Marineford War, as she was among the four who won a battle royale among Level 6 prisoners in Impel Down during the Impel Down Arc, one of the weirdest arcs in the series.

6 Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Yamata-No-Orochi

The Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Yamata-no-Orochi allows the user to transform into a hybrid and full version of the Yamata no Orochi, a Japanese mythological giant eight-headed snake or dragon. The user may attack in numerous directions at once thanks to their multiple heads and lengthy necks.

The fruit is currently eaten by Kurozumi Orochi, a villain in Wano Arc. Aside from its long reach, durability, and enhanced strength, what makes this fruit dangerous is that it makes the user very hard to kill, as they can survive multiple decapitations, as shown when Orochi survived despite having seven out of his eight heads cut off. It also has extremely strong jaws, being able to carry a full-sized adult with its mouth.

5 Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi-No-Makami

The Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi-no-Makami enables the person to transform into a full or hybrid form of an ancient wolf deity at command. The wolf is referred to be the "Guardian Deity of Wano" by Kaido, one of the Four Emperors of the Seas, and he struggled to get his hands on this Devil Fruit.

Yamato came upon it at some point and ate it out of hunger, unaware of the fruit's origins, giving Yamato even fewer chances of fleeing Onigashima alone. The user's physical powers are substantially enhanced, and they can generate cold and ice which comes out as blasts from their mouth and is strong enough to counter Kaido's Bolo Breath, which goes to show how potent the fruit is. As the fight only lasted for a while, we can assume that there are more abilities of this fruit that are not yet shown.

4 Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix

The Phoenix Bird-Bird Fruit grants the ability to turn into a gigantic phoenix engulfed in blue flames, as well as a human-phoenix hybrid, at command. Unlike most Zoan devil fruits, the user gets to choose which body parts to transform into animal forms, whereas the others have a predetermined transformation.

Marco, formerly Whitebeard's right-hand man, currently uses the fruit. The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha allows the user to turn into a massive, sentient, golden Buddha (also known as Daibutsu), while also earning an enormous boost in power to match the overall size. The user's limbs expand out of scale after transformation, giving them unnaturally enormous arms while having really tiny legs.

Sengoku, the former fleet admiral of the marines, currently uses the fruit. The user may instantaneously fire golden shockwaves by hitting his hand forward in a move akin to a palm thrust, and it can deal massive and extensive damage to a group of opponents, which makes this fruit extremely powerful. It's even strong enough to counter Marshall D. Teach's quake shockwaves.

2 Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika

The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika, also known as the Gum-Gum Fruit, allows the user's body to permanently acquire rubber characteristics. Unless opponents utilize Haki or Seastone Prisms, the user becomes almost totally resistant to blunt damage, including hand-to-hand fighting, blunt weapons, bullets, and even cannonballs.

The current user of the fruit is Monkey D. Luffy. When the fruit is awakened, it gave Luffy his most powerful form yet (known as Gear 5), and it has the ability to change the surroundings, including living beings' flesh, and convert it into rubber to repel attacks. It can even grab lightning and make a fist the size of an island. There is no power, according to a member of the five elders, that is more ridiculous than this one. It's safe to assume that this isn't the fruit's full potential and that more abilities will be revealed in the future, as the fruit has only been awakened recently.

1 Fish-Fish Fruit, Model Azure Dragon

This Fish-Fish Fruit, Model Azure Dragon, transforms the user into a gigantic, sinuous, blue-scaled dragon, specifically the "Azure Dragon," a type of the Eastern dragon. In full beast form, the user can reach a size comparable to a small town, making it the largest Zoan transformation to ever exist.

Kaido, one of the Four Emperors and most powerful villains, currently uses the fruit. The very destructive output, adaptability, and great durability of this fruit distinguish it as the most powerful. The user can produce massive tornadoes, make entire islands float, and can produce fire blasts that can reach several kilometers and destroy an entire town in an instant, making it one of the, if not, the most powerful devil fruit in One Piece. There are also very few that were able to damage Kaido because of this, although Kaido is already very tough even without transforming.
