Natalya's Career Told In Photos, Through The Years

Multiple women have staked their claims for the title of The Queen in WWE over the years, but only a few have claimed ownership. This list focuses on The Queen of Harts and her career trajectory in the pro-wrestling business.

Born in the infamous Hart family to the late Hall of Famer Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and Elizabeth Hart, Natalya had the business running in her veins. She's a former 2-time women's champion and a 1-time women's tag team champion in WWE, and has earned the respect of her peers and fans over the years. With that said, let's take a look at Natalya's pro-wrestling career by means of photos taken over the years.

10 Training & Independent Circuit

Watching her family succeed in the pro-wrestling business naturally drew her to the ring, and she trained under her uncles Ross and Bruce Hart at the Hart Family Dungeon. She made her in-ring debut for the Hart Family's own promotion Stampede Wrestling in 2002 and, by doing so, became the first third-generation female wrestler in the world.

She competed exclusively for Stampede until 2005, when she started performing for other promotions like NEO Women's Pro Wrestling, Major Girl's Fighting A-Z, Prairie Wrestling Alliance, NWA, and a brief stint in Japan before signing with WWE.

9 WWE Developmental

Natalya signed with WWE in January 2007 and reported to their developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling. She then got transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling and then Ohio Valley Wrestling which sums up her time in the WWE developmental system.

During her time in the developmental territories, Natalya honed her skills even more and competed against future WWE superstars like The Bella Twins, Beth Phoenix, and many more. She also managed her real-life cousins Harry Smith and Teddy Hart as the Next Generation Hart Foundation and also briefly teamed up with Victoria Crawford to take on The Bella Twins.

8 WWE Main Roster Debut

Natalya made her main roster debut on the April 4, 2008, episode of SmackDown and sided with Victoria to take out Michelle McCool and Cherry. She made her televised in-ring debut against Cherry on the April 25, 2008, episode of SmackDown and defeated her opponent with the sharpshooter.

She made her PPV debut at Backlash 2008 and competed in the winning side in a 12-women tag team match. She then competed for the inaugural Divas Championship against Michelle McCool at The 2008 Great American Bash but couldn't win the title. She continued her alliance with Victoria until the latter announced her retirement in January 2009.

7 The Hart Dynasty

As part of a talent exchange agreement, Natalya went over to ECW and started managing her real-life boyfriend and future husband, Tyson Kidd. Natalya then became an official member of ECW after getting drafted to the brand in 2009. She and Tyson Kidd were joined by her cousin David Hart Smith, and together the trio formed The Hart Dynasty.

The trio then got traded to SmackDown, and they worked their way through the competition over the weeks. They turned face after aiding Bret Hart in his match against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26. Following this, The Hart Dynasty won the Unified Tag Team Championships from The Miz and The Big Show. The trio continued their dominant ways until they disbanded in November 2010 after Kidd turned on Smith.

6 Divas Champion

Natalya had already started her singles career before the Hart Dynasty disbanded and had a heated rivalry against the self-proclaimed Co-Divas Champions Michelle McCool and Layla. She won a battle royal to become the No.1 contender and challenged McCool for the title at Hell in a Cell but only won the match by disqualification, which resulted in McCool retaining the title.

She continued her chase for the title but lost to Layla at Bragging Rights 2010, but she finally got her hands on the title at Survivor Series, where she defeated both McCool and Layla in a handicap match to win her first Divas Championship.

5 Various Feuds & Alliances

After the win, Natalya continued her feud with LayCool, but when the numbers game began to favor the latter, Beth Phoenix joined forces with Natalya to even the odds. Together, Natalya and Phoenix defeated LayCool in the first-ever diva's tag team tables match in WWE history at TLC 2010.

Natalya lost the Divas Championship to Eve Torres in a fatal four-way match at the 2011 Royal Rumble PPV. Following this, she got drafted back to SmackDown and started managing Kaitlyn and AJ Lee throughout 2011.

She then teamed up with Beth Phoenix to form The Divas of Doom and helped the latter win the Divas Championship. They continued to feud with AJ Lee and Kaitlyn throughout the year, and they eventually split up after the 2012 Elimination Chamber PPV.

4 Managing Cesaro & Tyson Kidd

Natalya had a mixed run between 2012 and 2014 when she paired up with Tyson Kidd once again for a while, started an on-screen relationship with The Great Khali, and feuded against the likes of Kaitlyn, AJ Lee, Rosa Mendes, and The Bella Twins.

In mid-2014, WWE acknowledged Natalya and Tyson Kidd's real-life marriage on-screen and paired them up on-screen yet again. As the time progressed, Cesaro also joined their mix in 2015, and Natalya started managing the duo and helped them win the WWE Tag Team Championships.

They held the titles for 63 days and defended them against the likes of The Usos and Los Matadores before dropping them to The New Day at Extreme Rules 2015.

3 SmackDown Women's Champion

Natalya was one of the key players in the WWE Women's Revolution and competed against the newcomers in Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch. She got drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2016 brand split and entered the newly introduced SmackDown Women's Championship picture. She competed in a six-pack elimination match to crown the inaugural champion at Backlash 2016 but couldn't get her hands on the title as she got eliminated by Nikki Bella.

It took her a while to get back into the title hunt, but she eventually got her shot at the 2017 SummerSlam PPV, where she defeated Naomi to win the championship.

2 Women's Tag Team Champion

After losing the SmackDown Women's Championship, Natalya engaged herself in various feuds and alliances. She aligned with Ronda Rousey for a while and also tried her luck in re-entering the championship picture. She teamed up with Tamina in early 2021 and set her sights on the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. They had their first opportunity against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the titles at WrestleMania 37 but couldn't get the job done.

However, on the May 14, 2021, episode of SmackDown, Natalya and Tamina defeated Jax and Baszler to win the Women's Tag Team Championships. They held the titles for 129 days until dropping them to Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley on the September 20, 2021, episode of Raw.

1 Current Storylines

After losing the title, Natalya and Tamina split up following the 2021 draft. Natalya once again focused on her singles career and entered the Queen's Crown tournament but lost to Doudrop in the first round.

She then entered a brief feud against the newcomer Aliyah, which saw the latter pickup multiple victories over the former 2-time women's champion. The feud culminated with Natalya defeating Aliyah in a Dungeon Style match on the February 11, 2022, episode of SmackDown.

She also faced off against the debutant Xia Li in a losing effort, but Natalya is still going strong in WWE and is looking to outdo her previous accomplishments in the coming days.
