Mickie James is one of the most decorated female athletes to grace a WWE ring. Unfortunately, Mickie was cut by WWE in the latest releases in April 2021.
Mickie James is universally loved by fans, who know that she is a remarkable in-ring performer. She is criminally underrated but she has carved out a successful career. Injuries have plagued a portion of James' WWE career, which is a shame, but there is no denying that she has left an impact on the business.

Unfortunately, Mickie's last batch of matches in WWE was not the greatest spectacles, but she still gave it her very best. There's no doubt that she will have suitors with the likes of AEW and Impact Wrestling, who will be chasing her signature as she is a worthy asset to have on your roster.
10 Mickie James Vs. Lana - Raw 8/31/20
The Raw Women's Championship title picture was heating up with many chasing Asuka. On the August 31, 2020, edition of Raw, Mickie James took on Lana in Mickie's first official match inside the Thunderdome.
This match was atrocious, and no disrespect to Lana but she isn't the greatest in-ring performer. Nevertheless, Mickie tried to make this a relevant match, and she prevailed over Lana with her patented Mick Kick.
9 Mickie James Vs. Natalya - Raw 8/17/20
Mickie James' first match in 14 months after recovering from tearing her ACL was against none other than Natalya. Mickie was rejuvenated, and Natalya was the perfect opponent for Mickie in her first match back on Raw.
However, this match was bitterly disappointing considering the caliber of these great champions. Lana accompanied Natalya to the ring, and Mickie was distracted by Lana's presence. It was great to see Mickie back in action, but the brief encounter saw Natalya win via count-out.
8 Mickie James Vs. Zelina Vega - Raw 9/21/20
On the September 21, 2020, episode of Raw, Mickie James and Zelina Vega collided to earn the right to face Asuka for the Raw Women's Championship at Clash of Champions. James dominated the encounter, and she was hellbent on gaining another Raw Women's Title shot.
Vega did not hold back either, and she was determined to prove her worth as a credible singles competitor. Ultimately, it was more heartbreak for Mickie as Vega was victorious with a devastating Backstabber.
7 WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal - WrestleMania 35
Another WrestleMania came Mickie James' way, but she was unfortunately relegated to the kick-off show at WrestleMania 35. She competed in the second annual WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal.

James gave a good account of herself, and it was exciting to see her mix it up with Asuka. However, Fire and Desire were working as a cohesive unit and were a formidable force to be reckoned with. James managed to eliminate Mandy Rose with a superkick but Sonya Deville removed Mickie from the equation.
6 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2021
Mickie James' final match in a WWE ring was actually the fourth edition of the Women's Royal Rumble match at the 2021 Royal Rumble extravaganza. James entered 19th and she immediately tackled Rhea Ripley, and she executed a picture-perfect Hurricanrana on Bianca Belair.
James and Charlotte teased fans with a dream match by having a stand-off and they went back-and-forth with blows. Nevertheless, James had a decent performance lasting a little over seven minutes, and she was eliminated by Lacey Evans with a Woman's Right in her face.
5 Mickie James & Asuka Vs. Lana & Natalya - Raw 9/7/20
Mickie James earned a Raw Women's Championship shot against Asuka on the September 14, 2020, edition of Raw, but before they could focus on that match, they teamed up. They squared off with Lana and Natalya, who Mickie had been feuding with since she returned to action a month prior.
Lana and Natalya prevented Mickie from tagging Asuka by isolating her in their corner. Eventually, Asuka got involved in the fray by blind-tagging Mickie, and the reigning Raw Women's Champion forced Lana to submit to the Asuka Lock.
4 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2019
Mickie James drew number five in the second Women's Royal Rumble match in 2019. The women stole the show and did better than their male counterparts in fairness. Moreover, Mickie almost eliminated Mandy Rose instantly, but Lacey Evans prevented her from doing it.

James spent the majority of her time in the match battling with Lacey, who was the number one entrant. Ultimately, James' quest of main eventing WrestleMania was over for another year as Tamina Snuka eliminated her with a jaw-dropping superkick, but it was another respectable outing from the veteran who lasted 11 minutes.
3 Mickie James & Alicia Fox Vs. Dana Brooke & Ember Moon - Main Event 1/17/19
There was a remarkable tag team match on Main Event that featured the heel combination of Mickie James and Alicia Fox, the veterans collided with Ember Moon and Dana Brooke.
The heels dominated the early exchanges of the match, and they set the tone of this contest with intent. Moon and Brooke put on a magnificent performance, but they were unable to prevail as Mickie picked up the victory with her patented DDT on Brooke.
2 Mickie James & Alexa Bliss Vs. Nia Jax & Tamina - Raw 1/28/19
The road to Elimination Chamber 2019 was underway with qualifying matches taking place to enter the Chamber to fight for the brand-spanking-new WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. James and Alexa Bliss had their hands full against Nia Jax and Tamina.
It's a scary prospect thinking of Jax and Tamina entering an Elimination Chamber match with the damage they could do. It was a competitive tag team match, and James took Tamina down with some quick hands and a Hurricanrana. James was going for her DDT but Jax executed a Samoan Drop on both James and Bliss, and she pinned James for the win.
1 Mickie James Vs. Asuka - Raw 9/14/20
Just one month into her return to in-ring competition, Mickie James found herself competing against Asuka for the Raw Women's Championship. This was an outstanding match, which displayed women's wrestling at the highest order with Mickie desperate to capture her seventh Women's Championship.
It was a vintage performance from Mickie and she began to take the initiative and dominate the match. Unfortunately, there was a botched finish as Asuka locked Mickie in her patented Asuka Lock, and there was some confusion as the referee thought that Mickie was unable to continue. Nonetheless, it takes nothing away from a superb Raw Women's Championship match.
