Mandy Rose Dominates Sonya Deville, Forcing Her To Leave WWE

Mandy Rose defeated Sonya Deville at SummerSlam which means the latter must leave WWE.

The rift between Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose might be one of the longest threads in WWE right now. That's not a bad thing. WWE needs some long-term storytelling. Granted, this hasn't been some of the best storytelling in wrestling history, but it's an angle that deserved a big blow-off match at a major PPV.

That's exactly what it got on Sunday night as the two of them finally clashed one-on-one at SummerSlam. The final build to the match was a little confusing, though. After pinning her down and hacking chunks out of her hair, Deville suggested that the two of them go at it in a hair versus hair match. However, a week later, those plans changed.

Deville instead suggested that the two of them put their WWE careers on the line, a stipulation Rose agreed to. After seeing their match at SummerSlam, we can see why. Despite Deville's MMA experience, Rose dominated the match. The blonde bombshell seemed as if she wanted to hurt Deville. As if beating her on the second biggest stage of the year and ending her run in WWE wouldn't be enough.

Once Rose finally put an end to the match, Otis came to the ring to celebrate with his peach while Deville mulled over her loss at ringside. It's still unclear why Deville is leaving WWE, or taking a break. If it is only a break, there's no indication as to how long that break will be. There have been suggestions that Deville has opted to take some time off following the scary incident involving a stalker showing up at her house.

The timing of it all certainly adds up. The stalker incident happened in between the hair match becoming one in which the Superstars' careers were on the line instead. A stalker breaking into your house and threatening to keep you hostage would be enough to make anyone want to step away from the spotlight for a little while. For some people, it might be enough to leave it for good. We hope that's not the case.
