How to Evolve Oshawott (The Fast Way)

Oshawott can evolve twice in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It will evolve to Dewott at level 17 and then Hisuian Samurott once it reaches level 36.

Oshawott is one of the starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. After falling out of a mysterious wormhole, trainers are greeted by Professor Laventon who acts as this region's Pokémon professor and will guide the player back on their feet to uncover the mystery of their sudden appearance. Very early on, trainers will join the Galaxy Team and meet their first partner Pokémon. The options are between Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott, all starter Pokémon that have appeared in older generations. Players who decide to choose Oshawott will have the benefit of having a Water-type Pokémon on their team.

Oshawott made its debut as the starter Pokémon of Pokémon Black and White versions. It's an adorable otter Pokémon with a small yellow shell on its belly. It occasionally uses it to attack trees or other Pokémon in battle. Choosing this Pokémon works well for trainers looking for a strong special attacker. While all of its other stats match each other, its special attack stat is much larger, causing Oshawott to do more damage when using special moves.

To evolve Oshawott into Dewott, trainers will need to reach level 17. Unlike the mainline Pokémon games, Pokémon Legends: Arceus does not automatically evolve the Pokémon after it reaches the level. Rather, the player will need to enter their satchel menu and choose to evolve it when it hits the appropriate level. The best way to level up fast in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is to continue to capture Pokémon and complete research tasks. If Oshawott is in the party, it will automatically gain levels like the rest of the party.

Evolving Oshawott in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Since Oshawott evolves once it reaches level 17, it should only take trainers about two to three hours to unlock it. Just continue to play through the game normally and levels will begin to accumulate with every completed challenge. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Dewott can also evolve into Samurott. Although, this Samurott is much different than the one from the Unova region.

Hisuian Samurott is a Pokémon that made its debut in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. To unlock it, trainers need to raise their Dewott to level 36, and fortunately, there is no additional evolutionary method needed to evolve it. Since the game takes place in the Hisui region, Dewott will naturally evolve once it reaches level 36. It will evolve into a Water and Dark-type Pokémon, giving weaknesses to Grass, Fairy, Bug, Electric, and Fighting-typer moves. Although, it does resist Fire, Water, Ice, Ghost, Steel, and Dark attacks while also being completely immune to Psychic.
