Here's how many episodes are in Loki season 2 and when to expect the MCU show's finale to air. The development of Loki season 2 was confirmed in season 1's finale, and since then, most of Loki's cast and characters have been confirmed to be returning. Loki season 1 released in the MCU's Phase 4, and marked the first time Marvel Studios explored the multiverse. After Sylvie killed He Who Remains and unraveled the Sacred Timeline, subsequent MCU projects have been picking up the pieces, and Loki season 2 is no exception, picking up immediately after the events of season 1.
Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki, the Asgardian God of Mischief who was last seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene. He's joined once again by Owen Wilson's TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius, as well as Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie, a female variant of Loki who directly unleashed the multiverse in the MCU's Phase 4. Further Loki season 2 introduced Ke Huy Quan's new character Ouroboros, aka OB, while the group also comes face-to-face with Jonathan Majors' Victor Timely, yet another variant of Multiverse Saga villain Kang the Conqueror.
How Many Episodes Are In Loki Season 2?
Much like Loki season 1, Loki season 2 consists of six episodes, releasing once a week on Disney+ from the premiere on October 5, 2023. The episode counts of several Marvel Studios series have been met with criticism for not providing enough time for a full story to be told. This was particularly scrutinized after Phase 5's Secret Invasion released in 2023. While this may mean that Loki season 2's six-episode run may be a risk, the first season's compact storyline, perfect mix of action and heart, and strong performances from the whole cast meant that not a moment was wasted. Loki season 2 has certainly not wasted any time thus far.
When Will The Loki Season 2 Finale Release?
Marvel Studios confirmed the Loki season 2 finale will premiere November 9, 2023, at 9pm ET (6pm PT, 1am GMT) on Disney+. With Loki season 2, episode 5, "Science/Fiction," having aired on November 2, 2023, there is only one episode left. Although the episode title has yet to be announced, it's release on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The full schedule of all six Loki season 2 episodes can be found in the table below.

The Loki season 2 finale will air on the same night that The Marvels previews begin playing in theaters in the U.S., though it's not yet known if there's any connection story-wise between the show and the movie. Reports have indicated the Loki season 2 finale will set up Kang as the next major Avengers villain ahead of 2026's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. For now, viewers will have to wait and see what the rest of Loki season 2 has in store leading up to and including the finale.
