Elaine Fan

Overview

Dr. Fan has a passion for applying clinical informatics to bridge the gap between medicine and technology, enhance provider and patient experience, and ultimately, improve health outcomes in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. She is particularly interested in improving clinical workflow efficiency and developing clinical decision support tools within electronic health records for clinicians to advance diagnostic accuracy while minimizing medical errors. For this reason, Dr. Fan pursued additional training in Master of Biomedical Informatics during her fellowship at the University of Utah.

Dr. Fan serves as a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Section Editor at HemOnc.org, as well as a Clinical Consultant for the Oncology Research and Evaluation (ClinCORE) Program at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Surveillance Research Program (SRP).
