Did Booker T Spoil The Men's Royal Rumble Result?
This year's Royal Rumble has been and gone and by this point, you will have had about 36 hours to digest the premium live event. It's probably fair to say most fans aren't too happy with how things went down. Particularly the men's Royal Rumble, and it doesn't help that was the match which closed the show, leaving fans with a bitter taste in their mouths as they left the dome and turned off their TVs.
Brock Lesnar Wins The Rumble
Brock Lesnar won what was a lackluster Rumble compared to other 30-person matches in recent years. Perhaps the biggest issue fans seem to have with the result is how predictable it was following the ending of the WWE Title match earlier in the night. Lesnar lost the WWE Title to Bobby Lashley thanks to interference from Roman Reigns. From that point, it appeared pretty obvious that Lesnar would enter the Rumble and win.

That is indeed what wound up happening. The Beast Incarnate entered the match last and won it pretty quickly. He will be on Raw tonight to select his WrestleMania opponent. As for the predictability of the Rumble result, you might have known what was going to happen even earlier in the evning if you tuned in to the kickoff show.
Booker T's Bold Prediction
As is always the case on WWE's kickoff shows, the panel is asked who they think will win each match that night. Booker T's pick to win the men's Rumble was Lesnar. Congratulations Booker, you nailed it. The trouble is, at that point in the night, Lesnar was still WWE Champion and had not been announced for the Rumble. Perhaps Booker already knew the plan and forgot himself in the moment and tipped WWE's hand unintentionally.
It's also entirely possible Booker simply wasn't thinking and just picked a name out of the air he knew was on the card that night. It does seem unlikely that he would have been clued in to the Rumble winner ahead of time. Whether Booker ruined it for you or you figured out what WWE had planned after Lesnar lost his title, fans won't be rushing to rewatch this Rumble in years to come like they are with some of the more classic installments of the iconic PPV and the match after which it is named.
