Charlotte Flair & 9 Other Wrestlers Who Were Betrayed By Ric Flair
The recent moment of Ric Flair betraying his own daughter Charlotte Flair for Lacey Evans had fans joking on social media about how many times he turned on others. Ric developed a moniker of “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” since he would stop at nothing to get ahead from cheating in matches to showing zero loyalty to his peers.

The long career of Flair has provided some moments of betrayal standing out more than others. There is a different level of importance involved in each scenario of the Nature Boy crossing the line. The following wrestlers joined Charlotte as having been betrayed by Ric throughout his career.
10 Charlotte Flair
The storyline of Ric Flair becoming aligned with Lacey Evans shows just how much WWE is hoping to shake things up for stronger ratings. Charlotte Flair was betrayed by Ric costing her multiple matches to help out Evans.

Ric revealed that he was now mentoring Evans as she entered a feud against Charlotte moving forward. The move led to fans remembering how untrustworthy Ric is as a character, but his betrayal of his daughter was not something anyone anticipated.
9 Dean Malenko
One of the forgotten betrayals from Ric Flair came shortly after the last version of the Four Horsemen ended. Ric’s son David Flair was starting out in WCW and received a huge push while Ric played an authority figure.
The power of Ric was abused to help David score victories over Malenko. Diehard wrestling fans were livid at the underrated workhouse putting over the overpushed rookie, but Ric’s role helped David continue to steal wins.
8 Randy Orton
Randy Orton was the first member kicked out of Evolution when Triple H grew resentful of him winning the World Championship. Ric Flair and Batista showed complete loyalty to Triple H by taking part in the betrayal.
Triple H’s time as leader of the faction saw Flair as his most loyal member of the group. Flair became a rival for Orton following the split and even had one of his last great matches against the youngster inside of a steel cage.
7 Christian
WWE brought Ric Flair back in 2020 to take part in Randy Orton’s story of becoming the top dominant heel again. Christian returned to the ring for a street fight with Orton hoping to defend his best friend Edge after Orton injured him.
Flair made his way to ringside and implied he was trying to help Christian before hitting him with a low blow. Orton destroyed Christian with a brutal punt and aligned with Flair for a few weeks to reunite from their Evolution days.
6 Kurt Angle
The TNA stint of Ric Flair was viewed as a disappointment since the legend hurt his legacy after the perfect WWE retirement. Flair did have some importance in his first few weeks when taking an interest in the AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle feud.
The presence of Flair implied he wanted to take note of the two best wrestlers in the company. Flair showed zero favoritism either way until he interfered in a big PPV match to help Styles retain the TNA World Championship. Angle was blindsided and livid that the legend cost him a shot at the title.
5 Rob Van Dam
Ric Flair’s WWE return in the early 2000s saw him playing a face character from the co-ownership role to becoming a full-time wrestler again. Triple H requesting to work with Flair led to a huge heel turn at Rob Van Dam’s expense.

Flair and Van Dam teamed during RVD’s program against Triple H due to Triple H running down Flair for being over the hill. Everyone expected Flair to hit Triple H with a sledgehammer when interfering in the World Championship match, but he hit RVD and started his new run as Triple H’s manager.
4 Arn Anderson
The bond between Ric Flair and Arn Anderson will always see their careers linked together. Anderson was Flair’s best friend outside of the ring and his closest ally on television as the two leaders of the Four Horsemen faction.
The rare feud between Flair and Anderson came when Ric was the one to turn on his friend. Arn losing a match to Vader led to Flair completely turning on him in the storyline. WCW just wanted to find a way to book that match and they reunited shortly afterward.
3 AJ Styles
TNA hoped that AJ Styles would become a top heel with Ric Flair at his side, but they lacked the chemistry needed to make it work. Styles felt out of place trying to play a cheap version of Ric Flair’s character with the robes and blonde highlights.
Flair leaving TNA for a few months allowed Styles and the rest of the Fortune faction to turn on Immortal after they were placed together. The return of Flair would see him fake out Fortune by costing Styles a match against Matt Hardy to reveal he was now with Immortal.
2 Batista
WWE found success with the Triple H vs Batista feud towards the end of Evolution. Ric Flair remained with Triple H until the absence of Triple H left him alone. Batista saved Flair during this time when various heels were after him.
Fans bought into Flair becoming a face after he teamed up with Batista and seemed to repair their bond. However, the eventual return of Triple H would see Flair hit Batista with a low blow allowing Triple H to deliver a brutal attack.
1 Sting
No wrestler understood how it felt to be betrayed by Ric Flair than Sting since it happened on multiple occasions. Sting foolishly joined the Four Horsemen after years of feuding with Flair when the group were made faces for the first time.
However, the run ended quickly when Flair orchestrated an attack to kick Sting out for not giving up his world title shot. Flair stabbed Sting in the back a few years later when he was a feel feuding against the Horsemen. The big reveal saw Flair getting Sting to tag with him before revealing the set-up of leading an attack with opponents Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman.
