5 Reasons Raw Got A Stronger Roster (& 5 Reasons SmackDown Did)
The 2020 WWE Draft is now in the history books and both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown are ready to move on with their brand new rosters. As ever with a draft, some of the changes were great, some will prove to be sleeper hits, and others left a lot of people confused.

However, there's no doubt that change can be a good thing and it should lead to some fresh feuds and some more entertaining shows, at least for the near future. While each roster is obviously stacked with talent due to how many great wrestlers WWE has right now, which show came out looking the strongest?
10 Raw: A Better Tag Team Division
While WWE rarely takes its tag team division seriously, it is still an element that fans love. When it comes to the two divisions that have been built up, it is Monday Night Raw that came out on top.
Bringing in New Day and The Miz and Morrison is going to be very exciting, plus with The Hurt Business and RETRIBUTION being able to contribute, this tag team division could be a big part of the show.
9 SmackDown: Lots Of Options
While Raw might have lots of guaranteed tag teams, SmackDown has a roster full of options. Rey and Dominik Mysterio could team together in the future, just as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could.
On top of that, The Usos can work as singles stars while Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler can also flourish on their own. This opens up the SmackDown roster to a lot of flexibility which should help the blue brand a lot.
8 Raw: Big Fight Feel
Something that Raw has certainly done is bring in a lot of big, physical wrestlers that will create a very unique style to the show. Drew McIntyre is a physical champion, but now the likes of Sheamus, Braun Strowman, The Fiend, and Keith Lee are all joining that.

There is going to be a very physical approach to the roster and while it may not be to the taste of everyone, it is certainly going to be interesting to see it play out. There will be some great fights on this show and that should excite everyone.
7 SmackDown: Technical Skills
While Raw went for the heavy hitters, the SmackDown roster offers some incredibly technical and exciting wrestlers. The blue brand should have a totally different feel and that is certainly going to make the brand stand out.
People like Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, and Sami Zayn are some of the most gifted wrestlers on the planet. Having them all on the same roster is going to be incredibly exciting to see.
6 Raw: The Experience Factor
When it came to the draft, the red brand seemed to pick up an awful lot of the veteran names. The likes of Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Jeff Hardy all now make up this brand, which is going to play a big part in helping it be the better show.

While it's good to see young hungry talent, the fact is that these veteran names are the big stars. They're the people that everyone knows and they have the knowledge to turn bad angles into great ones, which is why Raw looks stronger for it.
5 SmackDown: Face Of WWE
No matter how much WWE wants to push Drew McIntyre, the fact is that as long as he is around, Roman Reigns is the face of the company. Right now, he's the talk of the wrestling world as he puts in some of the best work of his career, and he was kept on SmackDown.
This is massive for the blue brand and will instantly attract people to watch this show, no matter what else is happening. Roman is such a big draw and while he is champion, that is only intensified, which makes SmackDown very exciting.
4 Raw: More Entertainment
While people like to watch WWE for brilliant in-ring action, there is no denying that people also love to be entertained. Fans want to see funny moments or unique characters and with a three-hour show that is especially true.
When it comes to entertaining aspects of WWE, the red brand brought in the best options. Whether it's eerie work with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss, ridiculous storylines with R-Truth, or sheer comedy with New Day, Raw offers that variety.
3 SmackDown: Big Names
The blue brand has managed to bring together some of the biggest names possible who are all marquee, main event stars. Being able to retain the likes of Roman Reigns and Bayley is massive for SmackDown as they are names that can always be relied upon.

On top of that, the show drafted in talent like Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio, which means that the roster is going to be jam-packed with stars. There's enough here to excite fans and that is going to lead to some great storylines.
2 Raw: Stronger Women's Division
A big bonus for Monday Night Raw is how strong the women's division is following the WWE Draft. While SmackDown retained Bayley and Sasha Banks, outside of that, the division really lacks star power.
Meanwhile, Raw boasts the likes of Asuka, Naomi, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss, which puts together an incredibly strong division with a lot of competition and star power.
1 SmackDown: Ones For The Future
Something that SmackDown did a great job with was bringing in talent who have massive upsides. People like Bianca Belair, Aleister Black, and Dominik Mysterio all have the ability to be massive names in wrestling, and seeing them grow on Friday nights could be very entertaining.
On top of that, even Big E now has the chance to be a singles star, which is something fresh too. Having all these new stars gives SmackDown a really fresh edge which should make it a very fast-paced and exciting show.
