10 Wrestlers Who Held Two Singles Titles At The Same Time
The whole purpose of being in the wrestling industry is to leave a lasting legacy and to become a champion. However, some wrestlers have been lucky to hold two singles titles at once. The likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Batista, and John Cena among others have held a World Title and Tag Team Championship at the same time.

A double champion is generally crowned when there is a title for a title match and a title unification bout. Some wrestlers who held two singles titles at once actually defended both titles but not at once. It certainly creates compelling television, when a wrestler holds two singles titles at once as they may enter multiple storylines. Furthermore, not many wrestlers are double champions for long as one title could become isolated with a champion focusing on just one title more than the other.
10 D'Lo Brown
D'Lo Brown is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the Attitude Era who had tons of talent. Brown is a record-tying four-time WWE European Champion and he had pride every time he held the title. Alas, Brown's third European Title reign came at the expense of Mideon at Fully Loaded 1999.
However, Brown didn't rest on his laurels as he defeated Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Championship on the August 2, 1999 edition of Raw. Thus, Brown became the first of three men to hold those championships. He was a double champion for a month until he dropped both titles to Jarrett at SummerSlam.
9 Kurt Angle
Keeping with the theme of "Eurocontinental Champions." Kurt Angle became the third and final competitor to hold both the Intercontinental and European titles simultaneously. Angle was one of the fastest rising stars in company history, and he ended Val Venis' underwhelming European Title reign in February 2000.
Weeks later, The Olympic Gold Medalist challenged Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Title at No Way Out. One thing guaranteed was that Angle was leaving No Way Out with at least one title in his possession. He went one better and captured the Intercontinental Championship. Ultimately, Angle left WrestleMania 2000 beltless in a two-fall triple threat match without being involved in the decision.
8 X-Pac
X-Pac was floundering on the card in 2001 and his X-Factor faction was relatively short-lived. However, things improved for X-Pac by the summer as he defeated Jeff Hardy for the Light Heavyweight Championship. X-Pac found his mojo and he knocked it out of the park in a title for a title match with Billy Kidman to add the WCW Cruiserweight Title to his tally on the July 30, 2001 episode of Raw.
The former DX member was only a double champion for a week as Tajiri beat him for the Light Heavyweight Championship. They settled the score in an enthralling match at SummerSlam with both titles up for grabs. X-Pac prevailed for his second Light Heavyweight Title run and he was once again a double champion. He was supposed to fight in another title for a title match at Survivor Series but that did not materialize with X-Pac the final Light Heavyweight Champion.
7 Shawn Michaels
It's incredibly hard to imagine a main eventer like Shawn Michaels holding the European Championship. That happened with The Heartbreak Kid dethroning The British Bulldog in front of his hometown fans at One Night Only to become the first Grand Slam Champion in WWE history.

Michaels added more insult to injury two months later to the Hart Family when he defeated his bitter rival, Bret Hart, for his third WWE Championship reign. It occurred in the infamous Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series 1997. Michaels was never going to take the European Title seriously with the title becoming a prop on his shoulder. His time as a double champion lasted a month, as he comically dropped the European Title to his DX compadre Triple H.
6 The Ultimate Warrior
The Ultimate Warrior reclaimed the Intercontinental Championship he lost to Rick Rude at WrestleMania V in a rematch at SummerSlam 1989. Warrior was slowly becoming the top babyface in WWE, and he had a mouthwatering clash with WWE Champion Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI.
The two iconic figures collided in the biggest WrestleMania at the time with the two most important titles up for grabs. Warrior and Hogan hit a home run in a memorable titular bout which saw Warrior prevail. 31 years later, Warrior remains the only man to hold both the WWE and Intercontinental Titles simultaneously. He quickly vacated the Intercontinental Championship to focus on his role as WWE Champion.
5 Rob Van Dam
Things were finally going Rob Van Dam's way in 2006 after he won the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22. RVD would go on to dethrone John Cena for his lone WWE Championship reign in front of a hostile crowd at ECW One Night Stand.
Two nights later, more gold came Van Dam's way when Paul Heyman presented him with the ECW Championship. RVD was the first man to hold those two titles simultaneously. Unfortunately, that's as good as it got for RVD after he retained the WWE Title against Edge at Vengeance 2006. He got caught by cops in possession of marijuana which led to him losing the WWE & ECW Titles in a 24 hour period to Edge and Big Show respectively.
4 Randy Orton
Randy Orton is one of the most decorated stars to grace a WWE ring, and he was rejuvenated in 2013. The Viper defeated a red-hot Daniel Bryan for another WWE Championship run inside Hell in a Cell in the fall of that year.

Two months later and WWE decided to merge the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship. Orton and his eternal rival John Cena collided in a TLC match for both titles. They put on a superb match and neither man is a specialist in this gimmick match. Orton prevailed, and despite the World Heavyweight Title ceasing to exist, it was another World Title reign that was recognized on Orton's resume.
3 Becky Lynch
History was made at WrestleMania 35, when Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair became the first three women to main event WrestleMania. Moreover, The Man was a perennial favorite after winning the 2019 Royal Rumble match, and she created a WrestleMania moment when she beat both Rousey and Flair for the Raw and SmackDown Women's Titles.
"Becky Two Belts" was born and fans loved every single of her run as a double champion. It lasted six weeks with Charlotte regaining the SmackDown Women's Title at Money in the Bank 2019. Nevertheless, it was the catalyst for Becky going on to hold the Raw Women's Championship for a record 398 days.
2 Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins was unquestionably the superstar of the year in 2015. The Architect became the first man to cash in their Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania. Rollins went on to pin Roman Reigns for his first WWE Championship reign at WrestleMania 31 in an impromptu triple threat match with Brock Lesnar's run as champion a thing of the past.
Rollins battled with John Cena at SummerSlam for Rollins' WWE Title and Cena's United States Championship. Rollins prevailed albeit with some help from Jon Stewart but he was the first man to hold those two prestigious titles. His time as a double champion was abrupt as Rollins dropped the US Title back to Cena at Night of Champions.
1 Chris Jericho
When you think about double champions, Chris Jericho often comes to mind. His achievement at Vengeance 2001 will live in infamy. Jericho defeated two of the all-time greats in The Rock and Steve Austin in back-to-back matches to become the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion.
Jericho became the final WCW Champion, and that title was retired in favor of the WWE Championship. Y2J's run as Undisputed WWE Champion may have not been as successful as it should have been but it was good to see Jericho in the main-event title picture.
