Over the years some of the greatest promos in wrestling history have taken place inside a WWE ring, yet on the flipside so have some of the worst. One of the big early roles that The Miz was given in WWE was to be involved in the Divas Search which saw him turn up to promote it on television. However, nerves appeared to get the best of him during one segment when he was supposed to reveal the number for fans to call to put their votes in.

The problem was that he forgot his number and could be seen awkwardly looking at his hand where he'd clearly written it. However, this had seemingly rubbed out due to the sweat, with this being an example of nerves from someone who became a great talker.

9 The Genesis Of McGillicutty

Curtis Axel was someone who developed into an entertaining talent overall, even though he wasn't always pushed heavily throughout his WWE career. However, during his time in NXT, he cut one of the cringiest promos of all time when he was working as Michael McGillicutty.

He mumbled along and seemed to completely forget his train of thought before just claiming it was then "Time for the genesis of McGillicutty," which he slowly said. The fact he immediately just left the ring showcased just how bad this moment was for him.

8 Kalisto's Lucha Things

Kalisto Promo botch

The WWE Drafts can often throw people into surprising situations if something happens that a wrestler may not know about, and that could have been the case with this promo. Kalisto had been drafted to SmackDown and he turned up backstage to talk about what he would be providing.

This saw him lack any real confidence in what he had to say as he also forgot Baron Corbin's name. However, the big issue came when he mumbled that he was going to bring "good Lucha things," which was followed by him running off, seemingly out of embarrassment.

7 Hulk Hogan Goes One More Time

Mistakes happen regularly in promos, and that was the case during an episode of SmackDown In March 2003 for Hulk Hogan. He was trying to cut a promo on Vince McMahon but he continuously stumbled over his words and struggled to get out what he wanted to say.

Hogan tried to show his experience and effectively restarted it all by saying he was going to do it one more time. The problem was that Hogan made even more mistakes, making this a promo he was desperate to forget.

6 Titus O'Neil Calls Out Bob Backlund

Titus O'Neil is normally a reasonably confident person, so he gets to be a spokesperson for the company so regularly. However, on an August 2016 episode of Raw, he was given a lengthy amount of time to cut a promo which saw him struggle massively.

O'Neil started it out by messing up some of his words and things didn't get any better from that point on. It was the sort of promo where he desperately needed to be interrupted faster because he was having problems and just kept talking for the sake of it to fill the dead air.

5 Roman Reigns Tells A Story

Roman Reigns may have developed into a confident talker, but that wasn't the case when he first started working as a singles act. That was evident during his feud against Big Show when he decided to tell his own version of Jack and the Beanstalk to him.

It was a cringey promo that was poorly delivered and didn't fire up the audience to want to see them go to battle, which was the entire purpose of the promo to begin with.

The Bella Twins could talk, as that was a key strength of for both of them, but for some reason that skill disappeared when they feuded against each other. A big problem was that Nikki Bella took things to the extreme in trying to make fans believe that they genuinely didn't like each other.

Seeing her claim that she wished her sister had died in the womb was something that instantly took people out of the storyline and created a truly awful promo that fans have never forgotten.

3 The Brood Talk For The First Time

The Brood Entrance

The Brood are a fondly remembered faction for all the great moments they provided, whether in matches or via blood baths. However, there's a reason people don't talk about their promos, and it's because they were not good. This is particularly true when it comes to the first time they ever spoke.

Edge put on a strange voice and claimed that "We will become what we will become," which summed up the entire promo. Gangrel rambled on without any real purpose either, making this a segment to forget for all of them.

2 Suffering Succotash

This is an infamous promo that is always brought up against Roman Reigns and with good reason, because it is truly terrible. The verbiage he was given here was dreadful and it was obvious he was reading it directly from the script as his insult in the form of an alliteration was something nobody would ever come up with naturally.

However, while that line gets all the focus it wasn't the only issue with this. Reigns had no confidence in anything he had to say at the time, creating a horrendous promo.

1 Luther Reigns Has Had Peas Before

Luther Reigns isn't someone that wrestling fans typically recall, but when it comes to his career with WWE one of the moments people do remember was his poor Thanksgiving promo. He interuptted a segment on SmackDown and demanded that Joy Giovanni make him a plate of food.

He then just rambled on about different things that he wanted to have, and that was made even worse when he made it clear that he is a big fan of peas as he had them before. It wasn't a good promo and was something that made him look ridiculous.
