10 Stars That Should Join WWE's Main Roster

Shawm Michaels has completely reinvented the developmental brand over the past eighteen months as the creative head of NXT under the new regime. Apart from signing new superstars from different promotions and the independent circuit, management is creating superstars of tomorrow that could potentially go on to become the next face of the company or headline WrestleMania.

WWE recently hosted NXT No Mercy 2023 in Bakersfield, California and new champions were crowned during the event. The event was a showcase for superstars from the developmental brand, and it sent a clear message that there are many stars on the brand who are ready to make Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown their new home in the coming weeks or months.

10 Dragon Lee

Dragon-Lee

Earlier this year, Dragon Lee started his journey with WWE after he left Lucha Libre AAA and signed with the promotion. Lee instantly got over the crowd with his high-flying skills that reminded the fans of a young Rey Mysterio. After a couple of PPV appearances and matches, Dragon Lee might just be ready to make Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown his new home in the coming weeks. The company also announced a match against Austin Theory after his failed attempt to defeat Dominik Mysterio on the red brand. It's highly likely that Lee could potentially team up with Mysterio and Santos Escobar for Fastlane 2023.

9 Dijak

Dijak

Last year, Dijak returned to the developmental brand under a new regime for a second stint on the brand after failing to make an impact as Retribution's T-Bar on WWE's main roster. Apart from a few stellar matches against Ilja Dragunov and Wes Lee, Dijak hasn't really accomplished anything significant on the developmental brand since his return. The former member of Retribution has prior experience on the main roster and Dijak could attain success with his newfound character on either brand.

8 Tyler Bate

Tyler Bate has impressed fans across the world with his charisma and in-ring skills for a while. The Big Strong Boi had to take a seat back during the global pandemic where he only competed for the United Kingdom.

Last year, Bate came to the United States and became a staple on the brand after he lost the NXT United Kingdom Championship during World's Collide 2022. Earlier this year, his showing against Dolph Ziggler on an episode of Main Event impressed the audience, and it proves that Bate is ready to move out of the developmental brand in the near future.

7 Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany-Stratton

Earlier this year, Tiffany Stratton returned to weekly television and defeated Lyra Valkyria to win the vacant NXT Women's Championship. Later, she proved that she was ready for the main roster after making sporadic appearances on both brands where she started her feud with Becky Lynch. Unfortunately, Stratton dropped the title to The Man and was not able to defeat Lynch in a rematch at NXT No Mercy 2023. It's clear that management is quite high on the Buff Barbie, and she could possibly make her main roster debut before the end of the year.

6 Blair Davenport

Blair-Davenport

In 2021, Blair Davenport signed with the promotion after a short stint with All Elite Wrestling. The Top Gaijin is no stranger to professional wrestling as she worked on the independent circuit, mainly the United Kingdom and Japan for several years before heading to the Stamford-based promotion. The women's division on Monday Night RAW has often been criticized due to a lack of star power and challengers which could potentially lead to Blair Davenport's main roster call-up to the brand in the near future.

5 Cora Jade

In 2021, Cora Jade signed with the promotion and started her singles journey on the developmental brand. There was a time when WWE was pushing Jade to potentially dethrone the then-NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. Unfortunately, the call was never made even though she got over as a sympathetic babyface on the brand. Unfortunately, management only featured her in a high-profile feud against her former partner, Roxanne Perez before she eventually went on a hiatus. There is a possibility that Jade's hiatus could lead to her main roster call-up in the coming weeks or months.

4 The Creed Brothers

Creed-Brothers-Ivy-Nile

The Creed Brothers have proved their dominance as a tag team in the developmental brand on several occasions. Apart from holding the NXT Tag Team Championship, Brutus and Julius Creed's promos and mic skills have immensely improved over the past few years on the developmental brand. The promotion is currently working on rebuilding their tag team division under the new regime over the past few years and The Creed Brothers could be the team to receive their main roster call-up as they have the tools to potentially win titles on RAW or SmackDown.

3 Ilja Dragunov

Ilja-Dragunov-NXT-Champion

Ilja Dragunov finally made it to the top of the developmental brand in the United States when he defeated Carmelo Hayes to win the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy 2023. Last year, Dragunov made a shocking appearance on the brand after he vacated the NXT United Kingdom Championship due to an injury. After a valiant run on NXT, The Mad Dragon finally became the champion of the brand. However, Dragunov's name has often come up in the list of superstars who are ready for WWE's main roster. It shouldn't come as a surprise if the company is looking for someone like The Mad Dragon to go head-to-head with The Ring General Gunther in the near future.

2 Bron Breakker

Bron-Breakker

Bron Breakker is no stranger to WWE's main roster as he had a program with Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler on Monday Night RAW before he captured his second NXT Championship after WrestleMania 38 against The Show-Off.

However, fans got to witness Breakker's impressive run as a heel on the developmental brand after he lost the NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes. It's clear as day that the second-generation superstar is ready to wreak havoc on the main roster whenever the promotion decides to call him up.

1 Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo-Hayes

Carmelo Hayes has been with the developmental brand for years, and he's accomplished a lot on NXT. Recently, he lost the NXT Championship to Ilja Dragunov in a stellar match at NXT No Mercy 2023. WWE management and fans have highly praised Melo in the past and the rising star has previously competed on Monday Night RAW against The Judgment Day's Finn Balor. The former NXT Champion is clearly ready for the spotlight, and it's possible that Melo could truly change the landscape of either brand when he leaves NXT.
