10 Recently Released WWE Wrestlers (Who Aren't Signed To Another Promotion)
WWE typically releases people every year, and when people are cut from the company they are normally given a lot of opportunities outside the WWE bubble. Because these wrestlers have a lot of buzz about them at that time many other promotions like to jump on the chance to snap them up quickly to capitalize on the situation.

However, while the likes of Miro and Trinity Fatu now find themselves working weekly for another company, there are plenty of wrestlers who were released recently that are still not signed. Some look to just work around the independent scene without a contract, while others never got back into wrestling at all.
10 Lana
Lana made major strides to improve her in-ring ability throughout her WWE career and she was always an amazing talker and entertainer, which is why people presumed she'd get signed somewhere. Considering how much AEW promotes managers and the fact Miro is under contract, landing with the company seemed a no-brainer.
However, Lana hasn't joined Miro nor has she turned up anywhere else either. Lana does still talk about the business and pops up from time to time at WWE events backstage, yet when it comes to signing for another promotion it hasn't taken place.
9 Nia Jax
Nia Jax is a former Raw Women's Champion and someone who has a lot of star power considering how much WWE pushed her throughout that period of her career. A lot of people thought she would end up being signed somewhere, but instead, Jax hasn't been involved in wrestling at all.

The only match she has competed in since her release, and that was when she was a surprise entrant into the 2023 women's Royal Rumble match. Jax has given mixed messages regarding her desire to continue in the business, so it remains to be seen whether or not that is her future.
8 Curtis Axel
Curtis Axel is a good wrestler who knew how to perform his role perfectly while also having a great family lineage to tap into. However, no other promotion has decided to sign him, which is why he hasn't competed since his last WWE match back in 2020.
It remains unclear as to whether or not he will be continuing to wrestle at any stage, as he has taken no independent bookings since being cut. However, he did have a brief period working backstage in WWE as a producer proving he is still in good communication with the company.
7 Kassius Ohno
There was a lot of excitement regarding Kassius Ohno's WWE release from fans who wanted to see him working regularly on the independent scene. He is an incredibly talented performer who didn't get the best run in WWE, so fans were eager to see what he would do next.
Unfortunately, the answer has been nothing as far as competing in the ring is concerned. While he started his own podcast, Ohno hasn't competed in a single match post-WWE, and is certainly not signed to any promotions.
6 Trent Seven
Unlike many wrestlers who were released in recent years, Trent Seven has got back into the ring to compete, although that has been few and far between. The former NXT Tag Team Champion is a great performer with a lot of experience, but he has only worked sporadically since his WWE release.
Seven has primarily appeared on the independent scene, but he did work for AEW briefly as well. However, while he had a couple of matches for Tony Khan's company, Seven never signed an official contract and he remains a free agent to this day.
5 Mojo Rawley
Considering the connections that Mojo Rawley has it is a shock he hasn't been picked up anywhere, but the former Hype Bros member is no longer wrestling. He dealt with some serious health scares during the pandemic, which could potentially have played into that decision as well.

Rawley would be a good signing for someone though because he is so passionate about whatever he gets involved in. Rawley throws 100% into everything and is a great brand rep to have.
4 Erick Rowan
Erick Rowan is a very effective big man who knows exactly how to use his body to his advantage. His hard-hitting style is easy on the eye and he is able to play a distinct character at the same time. After he showed up and put in impressive performances for AEW, a lot of fans felt he may end up signing for the company.
However, Rowan never put pen to paper with the company outside of those one-off appearances. Instead, he remains a free agent who competes regularly on the independent scene without an official contract.
3 AOP
AOP was a dominant tag team during their time in NXT, and their hard-hitting style is something that drew a lot of interest from fans. They had a smash-mouth style that wasn't pretty on the eye but it was certainly effective and they enjoyed a good run.
However, since their release, the duo hasn't signed for any promotion, which is surprising considering the potential they showed. The two men did try to start their own though, but that was something that ended in controversy after the debut event never happened.
2 Eva Marie
Eva Marie is someone who audiences may not be surprised to learn hasn't been signed by any other promotion, despite the obvious name value she has from her WWE run. She was never a good worker, and that is likely why no other company wants to take a risk on signing her.

She was used for her looks and entertainment ability by WWE, but outside of that, there was nothing for her which is why she got cut. Since then, she has remained a free agent and that seems to be something that won't change unless WWE opens its doors a third time.
1 Mandy Rose
When Mandy Rose was cut from WWE she was at the top of the women's division as she had just finished up a lengthy run as NXT Women's Champion. Her release caught people by surprise as most wrestling fans felt she was destined for big things on the main roster, but issues outside of the ring ended her career.
Rose was releasing content that WWE deemed too explicit on her personal FanTime account and that led to her being cut. With the buzz around her most fans thought she'd get picked up, but that hasn't been the case, and instead, she has just focused on building her FanTime business which is doing great financially for her.
