10 Most Confusing Things About The Fiend In WWE
The Fiend instantly became a popular gimmick after its debut in 2019. WWE initially treated Bray Wyatt's new character like it was a huge deal but soon dropped the ball with it early during a Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins, a match where The Fiend showed impressive strength but hurt him more than it benefitted him.

If that wasn't enough, WWE really ruined The Fiend's character by booking him in never-ending storylines and putting him on the losing side during high-profile matches. These are just a few examples of how confusing The Fiend character has been in WWE.
9 The Storyline With Alexa Bliss
When The Fiend aligned himself with Alexa Bliss, fans weren't sure how this storyline would play out. But soon, Bliss and Wyatt proved that they were a great couple and that they could provide fans greater theatre.
But ever since Bliss started becoming directly a part of Fiend's storylines, things started taking a downfall. When Wyatt disappeared from WWE for months after TLC, the company used Bliss to continue his rivalry. Soon, this storyline became really confusing and WWE started the whole new thing with Lily.
8 He Returned At WrestleMania 37 Without A Burned Face
A lot of fans weren't sure how The Fiend would perform against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 with that poorly designed burned face. Fortunately, he changed his look and his face was back to normal.
However, WWE never really explained how The Fiend managed to do so. If he could really heal himself, what took him so long to return to WWE? And even if that was the case, then why did he return with a burned look at all in the first place.
7 Came Back From Being Burned Alive
Speaking of The Fiend's burned look, WWE also never explained how Wyatt returned back from the dead. He was supposed to be dead after Randy Orton burned him alive during last year's TLC pay-per-view in a Firefly Inferno match.

Only in WWE's eyes did that mask even look scary. If nothing, it was really just a cheap Halloween mask that was probably built incorrectly.
6 The Red Lights
The Fiend seems to have a connection with red lights during his matches. Fans were already tired of those stupid red lightings the very first time they happened. But nobody knows for sure why does WWE keeps doing it.
The Fiend vs Finn Balor was a really good match because it didn't have any additional visual effects but other than that, there aren't many fights that WWE didn't ruin using with those red distracting lights.
5 Losing To Goldberg
Reportedly, The Fiend was originally supposed to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 and probably even lose his Universal Championship at the main event.
But before a showdown with The Big Dog could happen, Goldberg returned and challenged Wyatt for a title match in Saudi Arabia. The WWE Universe was disappointed and shocked when he overcame The Fiend at Super ShowDown. That was one of the stupidest booking decisions by WWE and nobody really knows why they did that to Wyatt.
4 Losing The Universal Championship A Week After Winning It
At SummerSlam 2020, The Fiend defeated Braun Strowman to become the Universal Champion once again. But after their match, Roman Reigns returned and beat both wrestlers.
The next day, WWE announced that Reigns will take on Strowman and The Fiend in a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Title at Payback. And just like that, The Head of the Table ended Wyatt's reign in just one week. Sure, it really helped Reigns' character but if WWE was going to do that, why did they let the title change hands at SummerSlam.
3 His Booking At WrestleMania 37
Another confusing thing about The Fiend was his WrestleMania 37 match against Randy Orton. It was basically a squash where The Viper got the victory. Again, it was a real shocker to the entire WWE Universe.

Alexa Bliss had betrayed The Fiend at WrestleMania and cost him a huge match. But it didn't really lead to anything interesting at all. Orton just got a victory again, and The Fiend ended up losing a huge fight after months of buildup. In the end, WWE screwed Bray again.
2 No Selling Seth Rollins & Still Not Winning
The Fiend showed some godly amount of strength at Hell in a Cell 2019 in the Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins. From the beginning to the end, Wyatt literally no-sold everything Rollins put on him.
But despite that, The Fiend ended up not winning the match. It was declared a No Contest because Rollins started beating him with everything he could get his hands on. It was a really dumb move because it made the Hell in a Cell stipulation look pointless.
1 Who's Manipulating Alexa Bliss: The Fiend Or Lily
While some fans seem to enjoy the new Alexa Bliss and Lily storyline, a lot of them are confused. Bliss has aligned herself with a creepy doll and because she can talk to such things, it's safe to say her character hasn't really changed at all after splitting with The Fiend.
There were many stories that The Fiend had granted his powers to Bliss and some said that Alexa is Sister Abigail. But none of that was ever explained on television. And if Bliss had Lily by her side since childhood, then how was Wyatt even able to manipulate her mind? It doesn't make sense because Lily had already been doing that.
