10 Books We Can't Believe Were Published By WWE
WWE is constantly looking for ways to earn money away from the ring to help grow the company and its talent, and one method that they have done that is via books. Whether it be autobiographies or books that recount events from WWE's past, there has been a wide variety released over the years.

Some of them are completely normal with no question marks surrounding them, but that's not the case for all of them. Over the years, there have been some strange books released by WWE, whether that be down to them being controversial, shocking, or simply bizarre, they have left fans scratching their heads.
10 The Official WWE Book Of Rules (And How To Break Them)
WWE has plenty of unwritten rules that fans have heard about over the years, but when it comes to what is official for wrestlers to know about they are few and far between. However, the company decided to create an official rulebook for people to learn about so everyone would know what was true.
However, the book also revealed exactly how wrestlers could break those rules, which seems like a strange book for a company to officially create. Seeing WWE endorse the way to destroy all the rules in place was a strange one, but it was created nonetheless.
9 The Rock Says
The Rock creating his own autobiography is something that would be highly sought after nowadays due to the long and varied career that he has been able to have both in and out of the professional wrestling business. However, when WWE pushed for the book to be created he still hadn't achieved everything he would in wrestling.

The problem with this book was that it wasn't what fans wanted at all. WWE wanted to release autobiographies or its talent and that worked at first with Mick Foley, but Rock's was done largely in kayfabe, and that was something that created a strange reading experience.
8 Can You Take The Heat?
Professional wrestlers are talented athletes who work well inside the ring, and that is something that has worked well for them overall. They need to look after their bodies and stay in shape, and part of that is down to diet and eating the right things, so WWE tapped into that and created a cookbook.
Wrestlers provided their favorite meals and how to make them, but this wasn't focused on health, it was just random meals thrown together. The fact they were created by people with no culinary background made this a rather bizarre book for people to choose from.
7 The Rise & Fall Of ECW: Extreme Championship Wrestling
WWE always wants to present itself as the greatest company in professional wrestling, and it will push that message at all costs, including trash-talking other promotions that have existed. The company often does this to WCW's legacy, and that has been the case with ECW as well.
That led to a controversial book coming out which specifically looked at the rise and fall of the ECW brand. While there is an interesting story to be told there, it's something that should have been done independently rather than from a WWE perspective.
6 WWE Presents Comic Series
WWE has now only created books, but they have also dipped into the world of comics as well. Bringing the wrestling personalities to life on the page of various comics is quite a strange decision, but it is one that the company has made numerous times for a variety of talent.
It wasn't something that truly caught on, because there are so many comics out there that the competition is high in this field. That's what WWE found out, despite the over-the-top nature of all the stories that were made.
5 Journey Into Darkness: An Unauthorized History Of Kane
Blending kayfabe and reality isn't an easy thing and it is a fine line WWE has had to walk plenty of times over the years. This much was clear in this particular book which focused on telling the story of Kane, the television character, not the man behind the mask.

Fans were supposed to treat this book seriously as if Kane was a real person and wasn't in fact someone playing a gimmick. It was a bizarre concept and while it was good to see WWE trying to put so much focus on gimmicks, it was a strange idea.
4 Making The Game: Triple H's Approach To A Better Body
Professional wrestlers often have brilliant physiques, and there's no denying that they put a lot of work in at the gym so they can look as good as possible. However, that doesn't mean that they're necessarily qualified to provide official guides for people to look a certain way.
That didn't stop WWE from creating a book with Triple H that was all about how he gets into shape with tips and tricks that other people should follow to get themselves into the same situation.
3 Divas Uncovered
How women were treated by WWE in the past was completely ludicrous, and "Divas Uncovered" was a prime example of that. Nowadays the talent are presented as great athletes, and while their beauty is still showcased it is done so in a tasteful manner now.
That wasn't always the case and this book showcases that, from the cover alone it is clear how the ladies were being presented inside. This was all about the photographs, with some small details about the wrestlers also being pushed.
2 To Be The Man
Ric Flair is never known for holding back his thoughts, and that was the case during this autobiography. It was a ghostwritten book, and that was something that should have allowed for any potential red flags to be picked up, but that wasn't the case when it came to his opinions on Mick Foley.

Flair's book created real controversy when he compared Foley to a glorified stuntman, seemingly not valuing what the Hardcore Legend had brought to the business, which led to a legitimate fallout between them.
1 Big Apple Take Down
Have you ever imagined what would happen if professional wrestlers were to become professional spies? Well, that is something that people can learn about in "Big Apple Take Down," which was a novel released by the company that brought that idea to life.
A group of WWE Superstars are given a secret mission to complete that is totally outside the world of professional wrestling.
