10 Best Storylines In WWE History (That Were Very Violent)
In the world of the WWE, there have been too many incredible rivalries to count. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and The Rock, and more, are considered some of the greatest feuds in wrestling history. That being said, that's not what we'll be taking a look at. Instead, we're going to look at the blood feuds.

Over the years there have been some very violent WWE storylines. Granted, there will always be a certain level of violence that would be expected, because it is the world of professional wrestling. But still, these ten feuds were far more over the top compared to the rest.
10 JBL Vs. Eddie Guerrero
The feud between JBL and Eddie Guerrero was a heated one. In 2004, the WWE Champion Eddie was challenged by the brash, bold-talking Texan. JBL insulted Guerrero's family, his heritage, and more.
That led to a few excellent, but also bloody matches between the two. As many likely remember, their WWE title match at Judgement Day 2004 was an insanely bloody, and violent match. Among the most violent in company history.
9 The Undertaker Vs. Kane
The Brothers of Destruction have had a few heated battles over the years. The Undertaker and Kane have feuded several times over the years, and every time, it's wild. In 1998, the pyromaniac buried his brother, leading to his hiatus for months.
Or look no further than their feud in 2010, when Kane apparently put The Undertaker into a literal coma with an attack. Not all of the matches between these two were good, but their rivalries were very violent, to say the least.
8 Triple H Vs. Batista
Leading into WrestleMania 35, Triple H and Batista had a very heated rivalry. As many likely remember, this feud essentially came out of nowhere. In early 2019, Batista viciously attacked Ric Flair, in order to secure a match with Triple H.

At WrestleMania later that year, they put on an incredibly heated No Holds Barred Match. Triple H picked up the win, and Batista wound up retiring following this brutal outing.
7 Kurt Angle Vs. Shane McMahon
At King of the Ring 2001, Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle put on one of the most brutal street fights ever. The Olympic Hero set out to show that he could wrestle in a hardcore setting, and he proved it. Angle threw McMahon around the arena in an ultra-violent bout.
As many recall, this match saw McMahon get thrown all over his neck, through glass, etc. This storyline was a simple one, but it was fantastic and extremely violent.
6 The Rock Vs. Mankind
The Rock and Mankind had too many violent matches to count. In late 1998 and early 1999, the two feuded over the WWE title, in some of the hardest-to-watch matches in company history. Their I Quit match at the Royal Rumble 1999 was insanely violent.
Their follow-up matches throughout the year were brutal as well. One can never doubt that Mick Foley wasn't willing to put his body on the line for entertainment.
5 Johnny Gargano Vs. Tommaso Ciampa
This story of friends-turned-foes down in NXT was one for the ages. One of the more recent entries on this list, the rivalry between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano began in 2017. After they lost the NXT tag titles in Chicago, DIY was disbanded.
After Ciampa turned on Gargano, the two were ready to kill each other and tried their best. They had an excellent unsanctioned match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans in 2018, and later had a wild street fight as well.
4 The Undertaker Vs. Mankind
Mankind has had some great rivals, but few would argue that The Undertaker is his biggest one. As many fans likely know, even if they weren't around to see it, their 1998 rivalry is among one of the most violent in WWE history.
Mankind took insane punishment at King of the Ring that year, getting tossed off, and through the Hell in a Cell cage. Decades on from this match, it's still insane to see Foley take the damage that he does.
3 Triple H Vs. Cactus Jack
In case it's not clear by now, Mick Foley is a man who can take a lot of punishment. In early 2000, Cactus Jack began feuding with Triple H over the WWE title. At Royal Rumble that year, the two put on an epic street fight.

In a Hell in a Cell match the following month, they had another excellent match, where Foley retired with a loss. This was given the feud of the year for 2000 by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and for good reason.
2 Randy Orton Vs. Triple H
In 2009, Triple H and Randy Orton had a blood feud for the history books. The former Evolution members were feuding over the WWE title and headlined WrestleMania 25. While that match was a bit disappointing, the feud itself was incredible.
As many likely remember, Orton spent the months building to that match punting members of the McMahon family. Triple H later repaid the favor, even attacking his rival at his house in one segment. This feud is memorable, and for good reason.
1 Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Mr. McMahon
Let's be honest, you knew this would be here. The rivalry between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mr. McMahon was a feud for generations. It's really just a classic story at heart, a man who just really hates his boss and wants to beat him up. So, he did.
Many, many, many times. While there were a lot of comedic moments across this feud, it was also pretty violent, and McMahon took a lot of big bumps for the joy of fans.
