10 Amazing Dream Matches That Will Never Happen

Bray Wyatt is currently running high with his new character, The Fiend. Wyatt is the reigning Universal Champion, winning the title from Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel last year. After winning the title, Wyatt has been unstoppable, and he is expected to wear the belt around his waist for a lengthy period.

Since Wyatt's alter ego is one most intimidating gimmicks in recent years, the fans would love to see The Fiend against a number of dream opponents. While Bray Wyatt might still deliver dream matches with a number of big names, he will never be able to offer matches with some great opponents from the past.

Let's take a look at ten amazing Bray Wyatt matches that will never happen.

10 Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle was certainly the best in the business in his prime. With Olympic Gold medal under his name, Angle came to WWE with a lot of potentials and he prevailed in a short period of time. Angle won the WWE Championship five times in his career.

Angle hung up his boots last year, but he could have been a dream opponent for Bray Wyatt in his prime. However, Angle was the victim of The Fiend last year, when the latter assaulted the former with Mandible Claw. The scenario would have been different in Angle's heyday, and The Fiend might have tapped out to the 'Ankle Lock'.

9 CM Punk

Even though CM Punk and Bray Wyatt crossed paths in the past, it scenario would be different with The Fiend. When Bray Wyatt was the leader of The Wyatt Family, he wrestled Punk in a couple of tag team matches. They, however, never squared off in a singles match.

Punk is not retired from professional wrestling, but it is ambiguous if he will ever compete in the squared circle again. Although Punk is currently a guest of WWE Backstage, he is employed by Fox, not WWE. With that in mind, it is safe to say that the fans will probably never see a dream match between CM Punk and The Fiend.

8 Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels was arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of his era if not the greatest. Given his history of producing incredible matches against some top-notch opponents, it would not have been different against The Fiend. Had he faced The Fiend while he was at the peak of his career, he would have given a dream match.

HBK always prevailed against dark characters and took the intensity to a new level. For instance, HBK had found his biggest rival in The Undertaker, who was also a dark character like The Fiend.

7 Batista

Batista, a six-time WWE Champion, was known for his huge size and strength in the squared circle. With an impressive physique, he was equally swift in the ring, making him an exceptional performer in the ring. With that in mind, a match between The Fiend and Bray Wyatt would have been a dream match for the fans.

The six-time WWE Champion retired from the ring last year when he wrestled Triple H at WrestleMania 35. As a result, the match between Batista and The Fiend will never happen in WWE.

6 Sting

Similar to the current gimmick of Bray Wyatt, Sting also had a dark persona, making him a dream rival for the reigning Universal Champion. Known as The Icon, Sting was certainly the pioneer to the success of WCW. While The Fiend wears a spine-chilling mask, Sting also had black and white paint on his face.

Making his WWE debut in 2014, Sting made an immediate impact, yet his career didn't last long in WWE. After suffering an unfortunate neck injury in 2015, The Icon was forced to hang up his boots and hence, the fans will never see him wrestle against The Fiend.

5 The Rock

There is no denying that a match between The Rock and The Fiend would have broken all records. Unfortunately, the fans will probably never see these two behemoths collide in the squared circle, considering The Rock hasn't been around in WWE, due to his hectic schedule as a movie star in Hollywood.

It is uncertain if The Great One will ever compete in the ring again, as he is already 47 years old. The Rock already announced his retirement from the ring last year. His last WWE appearance was on the Fox debut of SmackDown last year when he produced an entertaining segment.

4 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Many Superstars will come and go, but Stone Cold Steve Austin will always remain one of the most charismatic men to grace the WWE ring. Therefore, a feud between The Fiend and Stone Cold Steve Austin would have run wild today. With exciting promos between Bray Wyatt and Steve Austin, the rivalry would have been nothing short of spectacular for the fans.

Unfortunately, Stone Cold retired seventeen years ago, long before Bray Wyatt even made his debut in WWE. The fifty-four-year-old doesn't have any chance to wrestle anymore, and it remains a fantasy match for a myriad of fans.

3 Ric Flair

Arguably one of the greatest names to step foot in the ring, a rivalry between Ric Flair and The Fiend would have been called dream rivalry today, considering how flawless both men are on the mic. The sixteen-time WWE Champion has a great legacy, and he still makes sporadic appearances in WWE, with the last being at Crown Jewel while leading Team Flair.

The seventy-year-old had announced his retirement years ago. Imagine Ric Flair is getting fainted by the Mandible Claw, or The Fiend is getting destroyed by the Flair Chops. But sadly, the dream bout is never going to happen.

2 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan, widely considered the most popular Superstar of any era, should be a top choice to be a dream opponent for The Fiend. Both Hulk Hogan and The Fiend would have torn the house down, but the match is practically not possible.

Retiring fourteen years ago, Hogan doesn't have the physicality to take on a modern-day Superstar like The Fiend. Even though Hogan is still in decent shape, he has been battling several health problems, including back pain, which wanes the possibility of ever competing in the ring again.

1 Goldberg

Goldberg is still an active wrestler, who performs occasionally in WWE. As a matter of fact, the former Universal Champion could take part in Super ShowDown, which is set to take place in Saudi Arabia. It is feasible for Goldberg and The Fiend to collide, but WWE is unlikely to let this match happen, as it might affect the credibly of either of the two Superstars.

Goldberg is an unstoppable monster, who loves to dismantle opponents within a few minutes. Similarly, The Fiend is the Universal Champion, and he has been terrorizing WWE. After suffering a humiliating loss against The Undertaker last year, Goldberg can't afford to lose another big match. The Fiend, on the other hand, is unlikely to lose his first match to Goldberg by dropping the Universal Championship and hence, the match is likely to remain a dream match for the fans.
