WWE Is Launching A Range Of Wrestler-Themed Wines

Most of WWE's merchandise tends to be geared towards appealing to children, but not this new line of wines that is set to launch next month.

One of the main reasons Vince McMahon has managed to turn WWE into the successful juggernaut that it has become is the various revenue streams he has created. WWE doesn't just bring in money from ticket sales and PPV buys. It's also raking it in via Network subscriptions, TV rights, and perhaps most importantly of all, merch sales.

The biggest seller of all will likely be t-shirts. However, there's also a lot of money to be made from action figures and replica belts. For the most part, WWE's merchandise is aimed at children. It's why the company's title designs have changed so much over the past two decades. It's also why the spinning championship was introduced, as pretty much anyone above the age of 12 hates it.

The latest product WWE is preparing to launch is definitely not aimed at kids, and not something we saw coming even for a second. A range of wrestler-themed wines. Fans were given a first look at the alcoholic beverages earlier this week. The first two wines are themed around The Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior. The Deadman's drink is a Cabernet Sauvignon, and Warrior's is a Zinfandel.

WWE has teamed up with Wines That Rock to create and market the beverages, and there is no official word on whether more wrestlers will get their own wines in the future. We guess we'll have to wait to see how successful these first two are. The choices of Undertaker and Warrior seems odd to us. If we were to pair two WWE Superstars up with a couple of wines, Taker and Warrior wouldn't be the first names that come to mind.

"We knew these bottles would look amazing and be perfect for collectors and fans alike," said Andrew Nelson of Wines That Rock. That might have something to do with the odd wrestler selection. The Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior transcend the wrestling business, and the aim here is to appeal to more than just wrestling fans. Fans can order the wine now at WWE Wines, and shipping is set to start on October 22, 2020.
