WWE 2K23's MyGM Lets Players Run WCW, More Details Revealed
WWE 2K22 needed to be a massive improvement on WWE 2K20 and it was, for a number of reasons. One of the biggest improvements ushered in by 2K was the reintroduction of a mode allowing players to assume the role of a General Manager. Dubbed MyGM by 2K, while the mode was a good first attempt at the studio to recreate the GM modes of old, there was a lot of room for improvement.
WCW In MyGM
Enter WWE 2K23, which launches next week, and the good news is MyGM will return. The even better news is it will be far more in-depth than 2K's first crack at the mode. The studio has been guilty of effectively giving players a slightly tweaked version of the same game in the past, one of the many reasons WWE 2K20 was such a significant flop. The new additions coming to MyGM prove it won't be falling into that trap again.

The SmackDown Hotel has detailed the long list of changes MyGM fans will be able to enjoy in WWE 2K23, and topping the list is the addition of two new brands. NXT 2.0, the black and gold version of the brand was the only one available in 2K22, and WCW. That's right, you'll be able to bring WCW back from the dead and assume the role of Eric Bischoff to see if you could have saved the company from its demise in 2001.
More Mid-Card Titles
You'll even be able to manage WCW as Bischoff as the Hall of Famer is among some of the new faces you can choose as your GM. Also joining Tyler Breeze and Xavier Woods, who were previously announced as playabale GMs, will be Mick Foley and Kurt Angle. Another big reveal is the addition of secondary titles. All of WWE's mid-card titles, including the North American Championship, will be included.
The improvements to MyGM in WWE 2K23 keep on coming. Confirmation that the mode won't come to an end after one season – you will be able to play the same save file for as many seasons as you like – and that four people can play the same save locally against one another. You'll also be able to book multi-person matches including up to four Superstars, and the Slammy Awards and a Hall of Fame ceremony will be a part of your calendar.
