Wrestlers React To The Announcement Of Kobe Bryant's Passing

With the terrible news of Kobe Bryant's death, WWE and a number of wrestlers have taken to Twitter to share their feelings on the announcement.

Greatness is greatness. With that said, it's no surprise to see athletes and performers from all industries reaching out and sharing their feelings on Sunday's sad news that Kobe Bryant passed away in a terrible helicopter accident, along with his daughter and a number of others.

Professional wrestling and WWE, may not offer the same type of entertainment as the NBA but clearly, the news left a mark as WWE paid tribute to Kobe during the Royal Rumble and a number of current stars took to Twitter with their thoughts. WWE said, "On behalf of our global WWE Universe, we offer our condolences to Kobe's family and the family and friends of all those affected by this horrific tragedy."

Mustafa Ali said, "We always think we have so much time. The news about #KobeBryant is a sad reminder of how precious yet small our time here is. Condolences to his fans, friends and family. Tell everyone in your life that you care for that you love them."

Kurt Angle said, "Absolutely gutted to hear that Kobe Bryant and his daughter have passed away. Kobe was one of my favorite NBA players to ever play the sport. Prayers to his wife and family. #RIPKobe"

Bayley added, "Kobe Bryant was the reason I played basketball with so much love. I’m so sorry to the entire Bryant family. Tonight is for you."

Billie Kay said, "I would watch you play basketball with my brother when I was young and it became one of the most special things we did together. Absolutely shocked and heartbroken for his family"

This is just a sampling of some of the reactions to this sad news. There were so many more people touched by what Bryant brought with his level of compete, desire to be the best and ability to make a difference in his chosen sport, it's hard not to see him as an inspiration to be better at what you do.
