Why Bianca Belair Should Wrestle Sasha Banks At WrestleMania (& Why Asuka Is Better)

Bianca Belair had a dream start of 2021, as she was crowned the winner of the women's Royal Rumble match this year. Lasting nearly one hour, the EST of WWE showed grit and determination to walk out as a worthy winner of the match.

Since Belair has already set her ticket for WrestleMania, the question remains which champion she is going to choose as her opponent at the Grandest Stage of Them All. The Royal Rumble winner could choose either of the two women's champions, so Bianca might challenge either Asuka or Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 if they remain champions.

9 Asuka: First Real Challenger In A While

Asuka won the RAW Women's Championship for the second time last year, but she never had a serious challenger for the title in her second run, which certainly diminished the prestige of the belt that Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey built. Moreover, Asuka didn't defend her title at Royal Rumble because she already defended the Women's Tag Team Titles.

If Bianca chooses Asuka, she would become a genuine threat for The Empress of Tomorrow with the potential to dethrone the champion at the Show of Shows.

8 Sasha Banks: Bianca Belair Is Already On SmackDown

Bianca Belair made her main roster debut on RAW, but she shifted brands in the previous brand shakeup. Belair wasn't doing much on the red brand, and she moved to SmackDown to get more opportunities.

Since Belair won the women's Royal Rumble match as a SmackDown Superstar, it would make sense for her to go after the most coveted women's prize of the blue brand. Hence, she should choose to face Sasha Banks at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

7 Asuka: To Prevent Charlotte Flair From Entering The Title Picture Again

As Charlotte and Asuka, two unlikely former tag team partners, lost the Women's Tag Team Titles at Royal Rumble this year, their focus might shift to their respective singles careers. The possibility of Charlotte entering the RAW Women's Championship picture can't be ruled out, considering her history with Asuka.

While Charlotte is an extremely talented performer, a majority of fans wouldn't like to see her in the title picture at WrestleMania once again, especially against Asuka. If Belair picks Asuka as her WrestleMania 37 opponent, it could prevent Charlotte's involvement in the title picture.

6 Sasha Banks: Can Deliver Great Promos

Sasha Banks

Besides being good in the ring, Sasha Banks is proficient in the microphone, who can deliver entertaining promos week after week to hype a feud. Over the past six years of her main roster career, she has done the same against numerous opponents.

On the other hand, Asuka might be charismatic, but she isn't fluent in English and hence, she struggles to cut good promos. With that in mind, Bianca could have better chemistry and promos with Sasha Banks in a WrestleMania rivalry.

5 Sasha Banks: Great Heel

Bianca Belair is a babyface, so her WrestleMania opponent is likely to be a heel. While Sasha Banks isn't a heel now, but her chance of turning bad can't be ruled out because she is a proven heel.

Banks was a top heel in NXT, where she had a stupendous run as the NXT Women's Champion. Furthermore, she reinvented herself as a heel a couple of years ago and produced an outstanding feud with Becky Lynch. Banks was still a heel when she associated with Bayley until the latter turned on her.

4 Asuka: Faced Most Top Women Of The RAW Roster

Asuka hasn't had a significant challenger in the past few months, but she has crossed paths with a majority of women on the RAW Women's roster. From Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair to Alexa Bliss, the Japanese Superstar has wrestled everyone in non-title or tag team matches.

However, Asuka has never faced Bianca Belair, so it would be a completely fresh feud for the WWE Universe.

3 Sasha Banks: Lack Of Star Power In SmackDown Women's Division

While RAW Women's division has some elite names of the WWE Women's division, the same can't be said about the SmackDown Women's division. Except for Sasha Banks herself and Bayley, the blue brand lacks a notable name, who could headline WrestleMania. Carmella is a former SmackDown Women's Champion, but she has already faced Banks a couple of times.

Bianca's Royal Rumble win has already put a spotlight on her. Now, it would be a wise decision for her to go after the SmackDown Women's Championship.

2 Asuka: Asuka Beat Sasha Banks To Win The Title

Before Sasha Banks won the SmackDown Women's Championship from Bayley, she was the RAW Women's Champion, as Asuka and Banks were having a rivalry for the red belt. It was an interesting feud, but Asuka had the last laugh because she dethroned Banks to become a two-time RAW Women's Champion.

Asuka has proven to be better than Banks by winning the title from her. Therefore, Bianca should go after the woman, who has already conquered Sasha Banks, as it would be a greater challenge.

1 Sasha Banks: Fan Favorite

Being one of the Four Horsewomen, Sasha Banks is a fan favorite. The Boss has been one of the most popular women on the roster ever since making her debut. Needless to say, a majority of fans also like her as a champion.

After Bianca Belair has become Royal Rumble winner, most fans have been hoping to see the dream match between The Boss and The EST of WWE, and it is certainly visible on various social media platforms.
