What Amber & Barnett Are Up To In 2021
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett met while filming Netflix's Love Is Blind in 2018. Since then, they have built a solid foundation as a couple.
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett met while filming Love is Blind, and they're still together and thriving in 2021. This reality series focused on single men and women who would go on dates with each other without seeing their counterparts face-to-face. The series was an experiment to see if singles could make an emotional connection without having a physical attraction. While the experiment may have worked out for some, others failed miserably.
One of the few successful couples, Amber and Barnett, was head-over-heels in love with each other while filming the Netflix reality series and Amber shared that it was the right time to meet Barnett. By the end of the season, the couple tied the knot and were still together by the time when they filmed the reunion. Some viewers thought that Amber and Barnett would never last due to some of their differences. In the end, however, they had a solid foundation to build a lasting relationship.
Fans loved watching Amber and Barnett on Love Is Blind, enjoying their banter in the pods and ease with one another once they met in person. When the couple appeared on Netflix's After The Altar reunion special, the couple talked about the good place that their marriage is in and shared their future plans for a family. Fans were glad to see that the couple–who have been married for over two years now–seems stronger than ever.
Love Is Blind's Amber and Barnett almost divorced, and, according to Women's Health, the couple did have a brief moment where they questioned whether or not marriage was right for their relationship. And yet, the pair managed to work out their differences, with Amber even changing her last name to Barnett. They also celebrated their second wedding anniversary together in November 2020. Most recently, Amber shared a photo of her and Barnett on a chairlift waiting to do some snowboarding. The couple was practicing some of their winter sports moves together in Brighton, Utah. Their trip to Utah was their third winter vacation this year as Amber shared photos of them in North Carolina and West Virginia in their ski gear.
Besides their winter getaways, Amber and Barnett have been on other adventures together across the United States. Amber recently shared on Instagram that she and Barnett were at Big Bend National Park in Texas. She captioned the photo, "Don’t let the tame ones tell you how to live." Barnett left a silly comment as well, replying: "I should stop drinking when I take pictures of you." He also shared a similar picture on his Instagram with his thumb out, portraying a hitchhiker. He jokingly wrote in the caption, "I heard that they were about to start taxing hitchhikers. I hear they are calling it the Thumb Tax."
So far, Amber and Barnett have had quite an adventurous year in 2021. Whether they were on a winter getaway, exploring a national park, or just spending time at home together, Amber and Barnett have truly become a solid couple. Who knows what other adventures Amber and Barnett will embark on for the rest of 2021.
On After The Altar, Amber shared that she has epilepsy and that she would like to try for a baby soon, although Barnett seemed more comfortable with waiting a little while. The two explained that they have no interest in talking to Jessica Batten, who also liked Barnett in the pods and thought that he would propose, and Barnett refused a wedding anniversary present from his co-star.
From Amber's Instagram account, fans can see that she and Barnett went to Harry Potter World in August 2021, and in July, the couple went to Universal Studios Hollywood and enjoyed the Jurassic Park ride with their Love Is Blind married co-stars Cameron Hamilton and Lauren-Speed Hamilton. It seems that Amber and Barnett are enjoying being married and fans look forward to seeing more of their happy life together.
