We Can't Unsee The Major Missing Details In William And Kate's 2023 Christmas Card
Photoshopped or not, the 2023 card from William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales, is different from their previous ones in a couple of ways — it's in black and white, and it was taken in a studio setting. Willam and Kate's 2022 Christmas card featured them walking hand in hand outside near Anmer Hall. The year before, it was a picture from their private visit to Jordan.
People also noticed and commented on the normalcy of the setting for the Wales family's Christmas card. Josh Shinner took the photo at Windsor Castle, though with the draped background, it seems like it could have been taken anywhere. "I see the Prince and Princess of Wales went to JCPenney this year," one person posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. Others saw it as a way for the family to seem more relatable.
What is the same as in previous years is their casual and color-coordinated, matching outfits. Though, this year they really leaned in on matching — they all have on white button-down shirts with jeans or black pants. It's definitely a put-together and stylish look while still being approachable. That is very much in contrast to the Christmas card from King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Their card features a picture of the two of them from coronation day, dressed to the nines in royal regalia.
