Video Shows Touching But Hilarious Exchange Between Asuka and Becky Lynch On Raw
Even during the heat of battle, you can't say that wrestlers don't care about one another. If you take a look at the video of the finish to Becky Lynch's match with Asuka on Monday night, you'll get prime example number one of how the performers in WWE look out for each other. In this particular case, you'll also get a pretty funny moment caught on television that may or may not have been intended.
Lynch and Asuka went through hell in a No Holds Barred main event on Raw. They hit each other with chairs and other foreign objects before Lynch finally landed a side slam on Asuka from the second rope and through a table for the three count. When the pin was complete and Lynch declared the winner, before she got up and celebrated, she checked on her opponent. Asuka did the same.
In the video below, you can see Lynch tapping The Empress of Tomorrow on the side to make sure she was good and also likely thank her for an incredible match. It was a nice gesture. Asuka did the same, only she happened to catch Lynch in a somewhat precarious position. Instead of tapping her, she took a couple of squeezes of Lynch's breast and some viewers on social media swear they can see Lynch holding off her laughter and trying to stay in character.
A Funny, But Touching Moment
Whether "the feel" by Asuka was intentional or not is a matter of opinion or perspective. Perhaps we'll never know. What's important here is that the two women seem to have a tremendous amount of respect for one another and this likely wasn't something WWE meant to catch on camera but did. You can only imagine that the two had quite the conversation backstage after the fact, and likely a good laugh too.
They say some of the best matches in wrestling are between friends. Asuka and Lynch go way back, their big storyline being that Lynch gave Asuka her Women's Title when she took maternity leave.
