Top 9 Biggest Botches Of Brock Lesnar's Wrestling Career

Brock Lesnar is one of the strongest and most notorious wrestlers to have stepped foot inside a WWE ring. The Beast Incarnate is known for decimating his competition by taking them on trips to Suplex City before finishing them up with a thunderous F5.

Lesnar has conquered multiple wrestlers in the same way and used his immense strength in the UFC Octagon as well. However, even a veteran like Lesnar has made some serious blunders over the years, some of which could've been fatal if luck wasn't on his side.

With that said, let's take a look at nine of Brock Lesnar's biggest botches in his career.

9 Botched Pin Vs. Bobby Lashley

The common rule for the referees to count a pinfall is a wrestler should have his opponent down on the ring, with the latter's shoulders firmly on the mat. The pinfall doesn't count if the opponent's shoulders are raised from the ground, but the referee made a visible blunder during Brock Lesnar's match against Bobby Lashley at the 2022 Crown Jewel PPV.

Looking to escape from Lashley's Hurt Lock, Brock Lesnar bounced off the turnbuckle while Lashley was still holding on to the maneuver. The Almighty fell back first onto the mat with Lesnar on top, which allowed the referee to make the three count and give Lesnar the win.

But when replays showed, fans realized that Lashley's shoulder was entirely off the ground when the referee counted the pin.

8 Slipping On Barricade

This instance might not be a very serious entry to this list, but it's quite funny to look at a major star like Lesnar having a clumsy moment during his match against Roman Reigns at the 2022 SummerSlam PPV.

Lesnar made his way out to the match with the intention of wreaking havoc and even brought a tractor to ringside. When the action spilled outside the ring to the fan area, Lesnar tried to leap over the barricade to continue his attack on The Tribal Chief.

But Lesnar missed the timing of his jump and ended up hilariously slipping off the barricade, much to the laughter of the fans in attendance.

7 F5 To Otis

After losing the WWE Championship to Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a title vs. title match at WrestleMania 38, Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE in June 2022 and went after Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

It led to a last-man-standing match between the two wrestlers at the 2022 SummerSlam PPV, and during the build-up to the event, Chad Gable and Otis of The Alpha Academy tag team got on the bad side of The Beast Incarnate.

Lesnar took out both Gable and Otis on the July 13, 2022 episode of Raw, and The Beast showed off his immense strength by lifting the 350-pound Otis for the F5. But Lesnar botched the execution of the move and ended up giving a modified version of an Attitude Adjustment to Otis, which could've been bad for the latter if he had landed wrong.

6 Accidentally Punching John Cena

Before Brock Lesnar went on to face John Cena at the 2012 Extreme Rules PPV, the two wrestlers had a face-off on the April 9, 2012 episode of Raw. The altercation soon turned into a brawl, with Lesnar and Cena trying to take each other out.

The other members of the WWE roster had to run in and separate Lesnar and Cena, but in the heat of the moment, Lesnar landed a stiff punch in Cena's mouth, which resulted in Cena starting to bleed.

5 Springboard Leap At Extreme Rules 2012

While the build-up toward the match itself was pretty chaotic, the Extreme Rules match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena at the titular PPV in 2012 proved to be extra brutal as the two powerhouses took each other to their limits.

The newly returned Lesnar looked to re-establish his dominance in WWE by taking out the poster boy of the company, and during the match, Lesnar attempted a springboard leap over a steel step inside the ring onto Cena, who was hanging from the ropes.

However, Lesnar jumped a little too high during the execution and went tumbling over the top rope, and landed awkwardly on his neck. While everyone thought Lesnar got seriously injured, the Beast Incarnate managed to get to a vertical base immediately and re-entered the match.

4 Car Door Almost Hitting A Fan

After Seth Rollins cashed in the MITB contract in the main event of WrestleMania 31 to win the WWE Championship, Brock Lesnar returned to the company in June 2015 to start a feud with Rollins over the title.

During the build-up to their title match at the 2015 Battleground PPV, Lesnar took out his frustrations on Rollins and his bodyguards, J&J Security. Lesnar made his way out to the stage and started destroying the Cadillac Rollins gifted to Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury, and when he ripped the door away from the car and tossed it aside, Lesnar inadvertently hit a fan. However, the fan didn't sustain any serious injuries, but it could've turned out to be catastrophic if Lesnar had put a little more power into the throw.

3 F5 To A-Train

Brock Lesnar's initial days in WWE following his debut in 2002 saw him establish himself as the Next Big Thing, and in the process, Lesnar took out some big superstars like The Big Show.

He tried to do the same to A-Train on an episode of SmackDown in 2003 when the two competed against each other in a one-on-one match. Lesnar lifted A-Train on his shoulders for the F5, but he botched the execution, which resulted in A-Train landing awkwardly on his neck.

The accident could've ended A-Train's career, but nothing serious came out of the mishap.

2 Breaking Hardcore Holly's Neck

Brock Lesnar competed against some of the best wrestlers on the roster during his early days on the WWE main roster, and he got the chance to take on veteran performer Hardcore Holly on an episode of SmackDown in 2002.

During the bout, Lesnar tried to pick up Holly to deliver a powerbomb, but the latter allegedly tried to sandbag Lesnar and failed to pull himself up for Lesnar to execute the move. But Lesnar went on to deliver the powerbomb on Holly, resulting in the latter landing on his neck and breaking it in the process, which took him out for a year.

1 Shooting Star Press

Despite weighing over 280 pounds and standing at 6 ft 3 inches, Brock Lesnar used to perform the shooting star press move during his time in WWE's former developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Lesnar decided to perform the move on Kurt Angle during their WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 19. The Beast Incarnate messed up the execution of the move and landed hard on his neck and head, and suffered a concussion.

Kurt Angle had to improvise and help Lesnar carry on for the rest of the match, which ended with Lesnar defeating Angle to win his second WWE Championship.
