The Usos Defeat Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, Roman Pinned For First Time In Over 3 Years

To close Saturday's Money in the Bank, the nearly unthinkable happened: Roman Reigns was pinned as The Usos defeated The Head of the Table and Solo Sikoa. Jimmy and Jey won The Bloodline Civil War match and it's not clear where the family or The Universal Champion go from here. For the first time since December 2019, Reigns was pinned. It proved he was, in fact, human. And, in the loss, the fact Roman was pinned by one of his cousins makes the loss sting even more. A fantastic tag match to close a Money in the Bank premium live event that was full of surprises, The Usos winning might have been the biggest shocker of all. While well deserving, WWE has been protecting Reigns for over three-and-a-half years, making sure he was the most unstoppable and unbeatable champion. Meanwhile, Sikoa will undoubtedly let doubt creep in as he witnessed his leader go down and wonder if picked the wrong side when he chose to side with the champion over his older brothers.

What a Main Event For Money In The Bank

Fans were into this bout from the get-go and WWE absolutely delivered. Mixing emotion and storyline with strong in-ring wrestling, this was a callback to a number of previous happenings over the past few years. Roman tried to stack his cousins for the pin, while Jey kicked out and delivered a low blow. There were close finishes, ups and downs, and exchanges that will make this one of the more memorable matches including these four competitors.

What's next in the storyline will have fans clinging to their seats.
