The Miz Calls For Hannibal To Be Banned From Wrestling For His Stabbing Of Referee

You know it’s pretty serious when someone like The Miz advocates someone being canceled. The WWE man is, of course, one of the most despicable figures in the business. However, it’s mostly an act and, even so, he knows where to draw the line.

The latter seemingly does not apply to indie wrestler Blood Hunter, better known as Hannibal, who could have easily caused the death of referee Lando Deltoro at World Class Pro Wrestling's Christmas Star Wars.

A video that found its way online shows Hannibal repeatedly stabbing Deltoro in the head. The referee was rushed to hospital thereafter and received several stitches as the result of his incredible ordeal, one that saw him rendered unconscious a number of times.

The Miz has joined the many voices in the industry calling for Hannibal to be banned from wrestling. “You don’t do that stuff,” he told TMZ. “That didn’t look like a mistake.”

“Yes, of course," he said after being asked if Hannibal should be banned.

Hannibal Claimed To Be Unaware

Hannibal has since claimed not to have known he was hurting Deltoro, rather incredulously, and insists he was never told by the referee that he was injured.

Deltoro pointed out that there was no way of telling the wrestler to stop because of Hannibal’s size, plus he couldn’t have said much as he was slipping in and out of consciousness.

Another referee who was at the event has revealed the attack was planned, though not to the extent it was taken by Hannibal.

Will Ospreay Also Joins

Will Ospreay is another wrestler who has called for Hannibal to be banned.

“I hate cancel culture more than anyone. But when another persons life is in danger there should be no question,” Ospreay tweeted this week. “The business is about trust & at times can be the Wild West but once that trust is abused it can not be repaired.

“Unacceptable.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for Deltoro’s medical expenses. A total of $7,640 had been donated at the time of writing.
