The Lombardy Hotel at 111 East 56th Street was built by William Randolph Hearst in 1926 and has been home to such legends as Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton, Bette Davis, Richard Rodgers, and Edna Ferber. It was converted to a hotel cooperative in 1955, and occupies a prime Plaza District address near Central Park, great shopping, and the best restaurant and entertainment options the city has to offer.
