There is no doubt that Lin-Manuel Miranda nailed it with his work on Encanto.  Disney musicals have always been a hit with audiences, but something about the score of this enchanting film has put Encanto securely among the greatest of all time. The combination of hip-hop, Latin, and Broadway-worthy music came together to create something that viewers of all ages could enjoy.

While every song sung by the Madrigals hit the mark, audiences still have their favorites. They took to Ranker to vote and decide which of the movie's songs are the best. Their decisions may have come down to the performing character, the message behind the words, or the musicality of the songs, but no matter why they love them, the results are no surprise.

7 All Of You

Coming in last place by no means makes "All of You" a bad song. This number shows the improvement of the characters since the beginning of the film, especially Abuela, who has learned that her family has value, even without their powers.

The most impactful moment of this song is when Mirabel is given the doorknob to the newly built home. She looks at her reflection in the metal and recites the song's title, but with a twist: "I see me. All of me."

6 Dos Oruguitas

Abuela, like many family matriarchs, tries to protect her family from the trauma of her past. What she doesn't realize is that by keeping her history to herself, or trying to alter her story, the traumas find other ways to come out and hurt her family.

"Dos Oruguitas" tells the story of two caterpillars who must grow and change. The song plays as Mirabel sees the true story of what Abuela went through when she lost her husband, and the deep despair she had to pull herself out of to keep her family safe. This endearing moment between Abuela and Mirabel made keeping dry eyes throughout "Dos Oruguitas" a difficult task for anyone.

5 What Else Can I Do

The members of the Madrigal family all handle Abuela's high expectations differently. Abuela sees Isabela as the one who will carry the family on to the next generation, possibly seeing some of herself in her granddaughter.

However, this pressure resulted in Isabela never allowing herself to test her abilities. She kept things perfect and safe until she could no longer keep her true emotions inside, resulting in a colorful and visually stunning scene at Casa Madrigal. This song has reminded audiences of Frozen's "Let it Go" in meaning, but with fun, high energy differences.

4 Waiting On A Miracle

"Waiting on a Miracle" is Mirabel's prayer to the forces that granted her family their gift. Like the other members of her family, Mirabel has spent most of her life holding her feelings inside, wishing only to make her Abuela proud.

Everyone has a breaking point, and Mirabel's was watching her family celebrate Antonio's successful ceremony. All the emotions she had been keeping trapped for so many years came spilling out, and every bit of that emotion was felt by audiences as they watched her sing this song.

3 The Family Madrigal

"The Family Madrigal" was a song with a purpose. It introduced the members of the family, gave audiences a glimpse of Mirabel's personality, and established that even though Mirabel hadn't received a gift, she was extremely proud to be a Madrigal.

What makes this song so great is that it's just a lot of fun. Mirabel's high-energy singing and dancing started the movie out right, and the steady increase in tempo had audiences bouncing in their seats, making it clear why Encanto is one of the top movie musicals of the decade so far.

2 Surface Pressure

Luisa is the strong sister, who carries the weight of the Encanto on her shoulders. Like everyone else in the family, she does her best to keep a smile on her face and pretend that everything is okay, but when Mirabel pushes the matter, her true feelings come spilling out.

Luisa's song was one of the most relatable to audiences. The position of older sibling comes with a lot of expectations, and the building pressure of the music and the emotion of Luisa's singing brought that experience to life, with many viewers finding that the song perfectly exemplified the way they feel within their family dynamic.

1 We Don't Talk About Bruno

It's no surprise that "We Don't Talk About Bruno" came in first place. It has constantly been on the Billboard Hot 100 since the movie's release, and by now, children and adults alike know every word. The song is a perfect fit for Broadway, with exciting dancing, layered vocals, and catchy lyrics.

Every member of the family gets their chance to share their opinions about Bruno, who can be seen dancing along in the background, a detail Encanto fans caught a second time watching. Finally, in the end, each member sings their part over each other, coming together in a blended chorus as Mirabel yells out "I never should have brought up Bruno!"
