With Wrestlemania 36 just around the corner, it is a good time to look back at all the past Wrestlemania's, and when one thinks of past Wrestlemania's one can't help but wonder who has had the most and least success at the event.

This list includes Hall of Famers and some of the best wrestlers of all time. Even on the loss side, you can't have a lot of losses if you aren't good enough to at least be on the show. So keeping that all in mind, here are the wrestlers who dominated and were defeated at Wrestlemania.
10 Losses: Chris Jericho - 9
Chris Jericho has 14 Wrestlemania appearances to his name and has lost 9 of them. In Y2J's first Wrestlemania appearance was at Wrestlemania 2000 where he actually secured both his first win and first loss. He competed in a two falls triple threat match against Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, where both Angle's European and Intercontinental Championships were on the line. Jericho suffered his first Mania loss when he was pinned by Benoit, but quickly followed it up with his first win when he pinned Benoit.
Jericho's last Wrestlemania match was another defeat when he lost the United States Championship to Kevin Owens.
9 Wins: Rey Mysterio And Randy Savage - 7
Rey Mysterio has 12 Wrestlemania matches to his name and lost his first match at Wrestlemania 19 against Matt Hardy. Mysterio's first 3 wins were in the Cruiserweight Open at Wrestlemania 20 when he defeated Billy Kidman, Tajiri and Akio. Mysterio's latest win was at Wrestlemania 26 against CM Punk. Mysterio's latest Wrestlemania Appearance came at Wrestlemania 35 where he lost to Samoa Joe in a United States Championship match.

Randy Savage had 11 matches at Wrestlemania, with his first match and win coming at Wrestlemania 2, against George "The Animal" Steele. His last Wrestlemania match was also a win against Crush at Wrestlemania 10.
8 Losses: Randy Orton - 9
The 14 time World Champion Randy Orton has 15 Wrestlemania matches to his name, losing 9 of them. Orton won his first Wrestlemania match at Wrestlemania 20, teaming with Ric Flair and Batista in a handicap match against The Rock and Mick Foley. Orton's first loss at Wrestlemania was to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 21.
Orton has lost 4 of his last 6 matches at Mania his latest one being at Wrestlemania 34 where he competed in a fatal four-way match against Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode, and Rusev, where he suffered another loss.
7 Wins: Kane, Bret Hart, And Hulk Hogan - 8
Kane has competed in the 3rd most Wrestlemania matches in history with 17, winning 8 of them. He lost his first match at Wrestlemania 4 against The Undertaker, but quickly followed it up with his first win a year later at Wrestlemania 5 against Triple H. Kane's latest win at Wrestlemania was when he teamed with Daniel Bryan to beat Dolph Ziggler and Big E at Wrestlemania 29. His latest match at Wrestlemania was a loss at Wrestlemania 32 in The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which was won by Baron Corbin.
Bret Hart has competed in 14 career Wrestlemania matches. He too suffered his first loss in his first match at Wrestlemania, during Wrestlemania 2, when he lost a battle royal. He also followed it up with a win the following year at Wrestlemania 3 winning a six-man tag team match. Hart won his final match at Wrestlemania 26 in a No Holds Barred Lumberjack Match against Vince McMahon.
Hulk Hogan has impressively won 8 of 12 Wrestlemania matches. He won his first Wrestlemania match at Wrestlemania 1 teaming with Mr. T, defeating Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. He also won his final match at Wrestlemania 19 against Vince McMahon in a street fight.
6 Losses: The Big Show - 11
The Big Show has lost an astounding 11 of his 15 matches at Wrestlemania. Big Show lost his first 6 matches at Wrestlemania before finally securing a win in a tag team match. He had competed at 11 Wrestlemanias before finally getting his first singles match win against Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 28 to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Triple H has competed in 23 Wrestlemania matches over the years and has won 10 of them. His first Wrestlemania win was in his second Wrestlemania match under the name Hunter Hearst Helmsley when he defeated Goldust at Wrestlemania 14.
Triple H ended up doing most of his winning in his early years, as he has only won 2 of his last 8 matches at Wrestlemania, winning at Wrestlemania 29 against Brock Lesnar, and his last win coming at Wrestlemania 31 when he defeated Sting in a dream match.
4 Losses: Shawn Michaels - 11
It's very surprising that the guy with the nickname Mr. Wrestlemania finds himself on this side of the list but here we are, with Michaels losing 11 of 17 career Wrestlemania matches. Michaels lost his first two Wrestlemania matches at Wrestlemania 5 and Wrestlemania 6. His first singles loss was at Wrestlemania 9 against Tatanka for the Intercontinental Championship.
Michaels lost his final 2 matches at Wrestlemania to The Undertaker, the first one coming at Wrestlemania 25, and the second coming in the infamous Streak Vs Career match at Wrestlemania 26. That was proved to be Michaels' last match for 8 years before returning for a one-off in 2018.
3 Wins: John Cena - 10
It is not surprising to see John Cena on this side of the list. Cena has won an impressive 10 of 14 career matches at Wrestlemania. He won his first 6 of 7 matches at Wrestlemania with his first being a win against The Big Show at Wrestlemania 20.

Cena's last win came at Wrestlemania 33 in a mixed tag team match when he teamed with then-girlfriend Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse. Cena's latest match at Wrestlemania was a loss to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 34.
2 Losses: Triple H - 13
Maybe the most surprising thing on this list, Triple H has lost an astonishing 13 matches at Wrestlemania. Triple H lost his first match at Wrestlemania 12 under the name Hunter Hearst Helmsley against The Ultimate Warrior.
Triple H has lost each of his 3 latest matches at Wrestlemania, losing to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 32, Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 33, and Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey when teaming with Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match at Wrestlemania 34.
1 Wins: The Undertaker - 24
Probably the least surprising thing on this list is The Undertaker having the most wins at Wrestlemania with 24. He won his first 21 Wrestlemania matches, his first win coming against Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka at Wrestlemania 7. He rode his undefeated streak all the way to Wrestlemania 30 when he lost to Brock Lesnar.
Losing the streak did not slow The Undertaker down as he won 3 of his 4 matches at Wrestlemania after that, defeating Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 31, winning a Hell In a Cell Match against Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 32, and finally crushing John Cena at Wrestlemania 34.
