Not even WWE legends like CM Punk or Booker T have managed to headline WrestleMania. Nevertheless, pressure is a privilege and the youngest combined WrestleMania main events have generally been mouthwatering affairs.

11 65 Years Old: Shawn Michaels (32) Vs. Steve Austin (33) - WrestleMania 14

Shawn Michaels was 32 years old when he headlined WrestleMania for the second time in three years. The Heartbreak Kid entered as the reigning WWE Champion at WrestleMania 14, but he was in an insurmountable amount of pain. His challenger was fellow Texan, who won the 1998 Royal Rumble match.

Despite Michaels' limitations, he still produced a watchable match against Austin. Moreover, Mike Tyson was the special enforcer. The Austin era began with Austin seeing off Michaels with a Stunner to become WWE Champion for the first time in his career.

10 64 Years Old: John Cena (28) Vs. Triple H (34) - WrestleMania 22

WrestleMania 22 was one of the first instances with John Cena getting booed by fans. Big Match John headlined WrestleMania for the first time, and he defended the WWE Championship against Triple H. This was a huge match for Cena to prove naysayers wrong that he could hang with the likes of Triple H.

Their WWE Championship match was brilliant, and there were several false finishers. Triple H pushed Cena to a higher level, and Triple H suffered his third consecutive defeat in a WrestleMania main event with Cena retaining the WWE Title with his patented STF.

9 64 Years Old: The Rock (28) Vs. Steve Austin (34) - WrestleMania 17

The Rock v Stone Cold WrestleMania 17 Cropped

For the second time in three years, The Rock and Steve Austin headlined WrestleMania. WrestleMania 17 is widely received as the greatest WrestleMania of all time. Rock defended the WWE Championship with Austin having the hometown support with WrestleMania 17 emanating from the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, Texas.

They hit a home run in an enthralling WWE Title match. Both men enjoyed spells of dominance. However, Mr. McMahon interfered, and he surprisingly allied with Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake turned heel, and he captured his fifth WWE Championship.

Cena v Miz WrestleMania 27 Cropped

Remarkably, John Cena was competing in a World Championship match at WrestleMania for the seventh year in succession. Unfortunately, this match failed to click, and the Awesome One sustained a concussion after he took a nasty fall on the outside.

Both Yokozuna and Bret Hart pulled double duty at WrestleMania 10. The Hitman lost to his younger brother Owen in a remarkable opener. Yokozuna retained the WWE Championship against Lex Luger by disqualification. Nonetheless, it was the second consecutive year, where Yokozuna and Bret would collide for the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania.

This was marginally better than their match at WrestleMania 9. Yokozuna was the aggressor, and he tried to keep Bret at bay. Ultimately, Yokozuna was going for the Banzai Drop, but he fell off the top rope, and Bret pinned him to recapture the WWE Title with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as the special guest referee.

6 63 Years Old: Chris Jericho (31) Vs. Triple H (32) - WrestleMania 18

Chris Jericho walked into WrestleMania 18 as the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion with Stephanie McMahon by his side. Y2J defended his title against Triple H, who was in a rich vein of form after winning the 2002 Royal Rumble match.

The problem with Jericho and Triple H's championship bout is that both men knew that it was impossible to top The Rock and Hulk Hogan's epic. Nevertheless, the crowd had enough energy to pop for Triple H's triumph over Jericho to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

5 61 Years Old: Bret Hart (35) Vs. Yokozuna (26) - WrestleMania 9

WrestleMania 9 was the first WrestleMania to be held outdoors, and it is arguably the worst WrestleMania that WWE has produced. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good main event with Hart having to carry Yokozuna. His title reign didn't last long with Hulk Hogan beating Yokozuna in an impromptu match to reclaim the WWE Championship.

Bianca Belair v Sasha Banks WrestleMania 37 Cropped

Just one day after her 32nd birthday, Bianca Belair was hoping to defeat Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's Championship in the main event on night one of WrestleMania 37. This was a historical championship match as Banks and Belair became the first two black women to headline WrestleMania, which is a groundbreaking achievement.

Both women struggled to keep their emotions in check, and they shed a few tears at the history-making moment. They stole the show in a back and forth championship match. The EST of WWE's hair can be used as a weapon, and she viciously whipped Banks in the stomach with it. She finished off the Boss with KOD and she kickstarted her first SmackDown Women's Championship reign.

3 60 Years Old: Hulk Hogan (32) Vs. King Kong Bundy (28) - WrestleMania 2

WrestleMania 2 took place in three venues, and the main event in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena featured Hulk Hogan defending the WWE Championship against King Kong Bundy inside a solid steel cage. It was the first time, that the WWE Title would be on the line at WrestleMania.

It was an average WWE Championship match, but Hogan was the face of the company and fans desperately wanted to see Hogan prevail. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was in Bundy's corner, and he helped his charge on several occasions. It was to no avail, and Hulkamania ran wild with Hogan escaping the cage to remain as WWE Champion.

2 60 Years Old: The Rock (26) Vs. Steve Austin (34) - WrestleMania 15

The Rock v Stone Cold WrestleMania 15 Cropped

The Rock became one of the youngest wrestlers to headline WrestleMania at the age of 26. Rock walked into WrestleMania 15 as the WWE Champion, and he put the WWE Championship on the line against his rival Steve Austin. Their WWE Championship match is underrated as they have managed to top it in subsequent rematches.

The Corporation Champion did everything in his power to remain as WWE Champion and not even all the shenanigans could stop Austin in his quest from taking home the gold. A Stunner was enough for Austin to once again hold the WWE Title.

1 59 Years Old: Kurt Angle (34) Vs. Brock Lesnar (25) - WrestleMania 19

Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle WrestleMania 19

The youngest main event in the history of WrestleMania featured 25-year-old Brock Lesnar and the reigning WWE Champion Kurt Angle who was 34 years of age. The Olympic Gold Medalist's WWE Championship was on the line at WrestleMania 19, and Angle competed with a broken neck.

Angle and Lesnar's chemistry has always produced exceptional matches. The fact that Angle could perform at an elite level with a broken neck is a testament to his greatness. Mercifully, Lesnar was lucky not to sustain serious damage after he botched a shooting star press. Nevertheless, Lesnar finished off Angle with an F5 to become a two-time WWE Champion.
