The 10 Longest WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Reigns
The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles debuted in August 2016, following the reintroduction of the brand split. In the past few years, the title has changed hands multiple times. Some teams only had one title reign under their resume, while others had multiple. Each team wants to keep the titles for as long as possible, but not everyone gets to be a champion for a long time.

Tag teams were one of the weakest parts of WWE at one point. One week, they'd be high on a team, and the other, they'd given up them. A longer reign usually meant that the wrestlers would have the spotlight on them more than others.
10 Heath Slater & Rhyno (84 Days)
Heath Slater and Rhyno were the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions. They won an eight-team tournament (defeated The Usos in the finals) to win this title. Their reign lasted for almost three months before they lost it to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton at TLC 2016. Orton's time in the Wyatt Family was good, but his feud with Bray was awful
9 The Street Profits (88 Days)
During the 2020 WWE Draft, The Street Profits were drafted to SmackDown, whereas The New Day was sent to Raw. Both teams held championships of a different brand than the one they were going to so they exchanged their belts. The Street Profits title reign on SmackDown was pretty much forgettable. They had two matches as champions before losing the belt to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
8 The New Day (6th Reign, 93 Days)
On the April 17, 2020 edition of SmackDown, Big E defeated Jey Uso and The Miz in a SmacDown Tag Team Titles triple threat to become the champion. Xavier Woods was injured at this time, so Kofi Kingston tagged with Big E in matches. They held the title for a little over 3 months and lost it in their fourth defense to the team of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura.
7 The Bar (103 Days)
Sheamus and Cesaro went from being forced to team up to become one of the best tag teams of the past decade. While they have been the Raw Tag Team Champions four times, they only had one reign with the SmackDown Tag Team Title. Their reign began at SmackDown 1000, where The Big Show helped them out. Some months later, they lost the belt to Shane McMahon and The Miz at Royal Rumble 2019.
6 The New Day (5th Reign, 111 Days)
The New Day ended The Revival's SmackDown Tag Team Title reign on an episode of SmackDown in November 2019. They defended their belt four times (two of them being against The Revival) and then lost the belt to John Morrison and The Miz at Super ShowDown 2020.
5 The Usos (1st reign, 124 Days)
The Usos' first SmackDown Tag Team Title reign began in March 2017. They defeated American Alpha (Chad Gable and Jason Jordan). In their third pay-per-view title defense at Battleground, Jimmy and Jey faced Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the championship and lost their belt.
4 The Dirty Dawgs (128 Days)
WWE decided to pair up Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, who surprisingly ended up becoming championship material as a unit. The Dirty Dawgs have won the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championship each one time.

Their Raw Tag Team Title reign lasted less than a month, but their SmackDown one went for over four months before they lost to the father-son duo of Dominik and Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania Backlash 2021.
3 The Bludgeon Brothers (135 Days)
Luke Harper and Eric Rowan formed The Bludgeon Brothers in 2017. But they had been tag team partners long before that, as part of the Wyatt Family. Harper and Rowan won the SmackDown Tag Team Title in a triple threat tag team match involving The Usos, and The New Day. The match ended in less than six minutes, and while people were happy to see new champs, they were a little disappointed seeing New Day and Usos lose in such a fashion. The Bludgeon Brothers' title reign ended at the hands of New Day on an episode of SmackDown in August 2018.
2 The Usos (3rd Reign, 182 Days)
The Usos vs The New Day at Hell in a Cell 2017 was the match of the night. After over 20 minutes of battle, The Usos regained the championship with the double splash on Xavier Woods. This was their third time winning this belt. They kept the title until WrestleMania 34, where they lost to The Bludgeon Brothers.
1 The Usos (5th Reign, 462+ Days)
The Usos' current title reign with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship is also the longest one yet. They won the tag team titles during the kickoff show at Money in the Bank 2021, and have defeated teams like The Mysterios, The Street Profits, and RK-Bro since. The match against RK-Bro was a Winner Takes All title unification match. They've been Raw Tag Team Champions for over 150 days.
