Take a database offline - Documentation for MainView for DBCTL 5.2

If you have a database in error, you can use the IXDPSUMR view or the IXDASUMR view to assess the impact of taking a database offline before you take any action.

First, you can identify the programs that use the database. Then, you can issue line commands to modify their state (if appropriate) before you take action against the database in error.
