Seth Rollins Admits His World Title Isn't On The Same Level As Roman Reigns'
From Clash at the Castle onwards, fans expected Roman Reigns to either be dethroned or for WWE to somehow take one title from him and leave the other. It didn't happen at Clash, he wasn't beaten at WrestleMania, and even when he was eventually pinned at Money in the Bank, nothing was on the line. Instead, WWE decided to throw a third championship into the mix.
The Worth Of The New World Title
A tournament to crown the new World Champion ended in Saudi Arabia, Seth Rollins standing tall to become the belt's first holder. There have been complaints since that simply adding a third title rather than taking one of Reigns' makes Rollins' championship feel less than. Surprisingly, that's actually something The Architect agrees with, admitting his title doesn't mean as much as The Tribal Chief's. Not yet.

"I'm under no illusion that this title is the same as Roman's title. That title has been around and so much equity has been put into it over the past few years. It means a lot," Rollins told Ryan Satin on Out Of Character (H/T to Fightful for the transcription). "You can't just come in and pretend that all of a sudden this title is that important. No one is going to buy that crap."
What Rollins Looks For In A Champion
However, Rollins goes on to discuss what he looked for in a World Champion as a fan, and how he is trying to embody that. Wrestlers who defended their titles all the time, listing the likes of Shawn Michaels and John Cena, and even throwing a complimentCM Punk's way. Surprising as the last time Rollins was asked about Punk, back when there appeared to be a chance he might re-sign with WWE, Rollins referred to him as a cancer.
"If Roman was doing what I'm doing, there wouldn't really be a need for a secondary championship. There wouldn't be a need for another World Heavyweight Title on Raw because we would have somebody who was doing those things," Rollins added. No, his new title doesn't feel as prestigious as Reigns' just yet, but he makes a valid point. Rollins defended his title more in June alone than Reigns has defended his in the whole of 2023 so far.
