Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai fame Vaibhavi Upadhayay dies in a car accident

Vaibhavi Upadhayay, known for her role as Jasmine in the popular TV show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, passed away in a car accident in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning. She was 32 years old. Her family, who reside in Chandigarh, are bringing her body to Mumbai for the last rites, which are scheduled to take place at 11 am on Wednesday.

The news of her death was announced by the show's producer, JD Majethia who took to Twitter and wrote, "Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi upadhyay popularly known as Jasmine of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the North. Family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites . RIP vaibhavi."

As per reports, JD Majethia revealed that Vaibhavi's car fell into the valley while taking a turn and that she was in the car with her fiance who is now stable.

Meanwhile, Anupamaa fame Rupali Ganguli took to Instagram stories and wrote, "Gone too soon Vaibhani..."

Actor Deven Bhojani also tweeted and wrote, "Shocking! A very fine actress and a dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay, popularly known as 'Jasmine' of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the North a few hours back. Rest in peace Vaibhavi #SarabhaiVsSarabhai #Hatsoff @sats45 @TheRupali."
