[Rumor] WWE Will Give Tampa Bay A WrestleMania Show In Near Future
The COVID-10 pandemic forced WWE to relocate WrestleMania 36 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida to the company's Performance Center in Orlando.
Last year, WWE announced that Tampa Bay would serve as the WrestleMania location for the very first time. The company previously held three WrestleMania events in the Sunshine State (two in Orlando and one at Miami Gardens).
WWE and the city of Tampa Bay obviously had no choice. Public health and safety were always going to be the main priority. But on the bright side, it sounds like WWE is planning to make up for it.
According to WrestleVotes, the city of Tampa Bay is going to "be in the running to host" WrestleMania 38. The city is still keen on hosting WrestleMania, and WrestleVotes added that it could be "a shoe in."
WrestleMania 37 will take place at the brand new SoFi Stadium (which will be shared by the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers) in Inglewood, California. That stadium is also slated to host the Super Bowl in two years.

WWE usually reveals the location for the following year's WrestleMania event in March, but if the company is keen on going to Tampa Bay in 2022, there's little reason to believe that they'll wait that long to make the announcement.
Despite not being able to have any fans in attendance, WrestleMania 36 turned out to be extremely successful from a critical standpoint. The Undertaker-A.J. Styles boneyard and John Cena-Bray Wyatt Firefly Fun House matches more than lived up to the hype. The show also saw two prominent title changes, with Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre walking out as the new Universal and WWE Champions, respectively.
This Would Be A Nice Gesture By WWE
Tampa Bay looked to be an ideal location for WrestleMania, and Raymond James Stadium (with its own pirate ship) would have been a special venue to host the event. It would certainly be a nice move on WWE's end if they gave Tampa Bay a WrestleMania in the near future to make up for this year.
