[Report] WWE Has Taped The Final Raw Episode Inside The ThunderDome
The WWE ThunderDome era is drawing to a close.
The company will commence a 25-city tour in nine days, with the July 16 episode of Friday Night SmackDown taking place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Next week's edition of Monday Night Raw will mark the final episode inside the ThunderDome — at the Yuengling Center on the University of South Florida campus.
According to a report from John Pollock of POST Wrestling, WWE pre-taped next week's episode of Raw on Tuesday. As noted above, the go-home SmackDown episode of Money in the Bank will run at the Toyota Center. Money in the Bank will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas two days later.
The July 19 edition of Monday Night Raw will then run at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The 25-city tour will conclude with the Labor Day episode of Raw taking place at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida on Sept. 6.

After spending five months at the Performance Center in Orlando, WWE moved its shows to the Amway Center, and they introduced the ThunderDome on the Aug. 21 episode of SmackDown. They stayed at the Amway Center until Dec. 7, before relocating to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The company then moved into the Yuengling Center following WrestleMania 37 weekend on Apr. 10-11.
The ThunderDome Was Fun While It Lasted
The ThunderDome turned out to be a highly successful experiment for nearly 11 months. It simply wasn't the same when WWE had to run shows without any spectators or crowd noise at the Performance Center. It was a great backup option for the company, and they did an excellent job working through the many obstacles in the ThunderDome era.
But after a long 16-month wait, it's finally time for the company and its superstars to return to touring and performing in front of live crowds regularly. And it all begins in just nine days.
