Summary

  • The Neighborhood season 6 is set to bring more hilarious episodes as Dave and the Johnsons continue to adjust to life in south central LA.
  • After months of delay due to the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strikes, The Neighborhood season 6 has finally set a release date.
  • The main cast will return for season 6, along with recurring characters and the possibility of new guest stars, and the storyline will see Calvin exploring new career options.

The Neighborhood season 6 is headed to CBS, and there’s already a great deal to look forward to when it comes to the next installment of the Jim Reynolds-created sitcom. Debuting in 2018, The Neighborhood stars the legendary Cedric the Entertainer alongside New Girl’s Max Greenfield. The premise of The Neighborhood – that an uptight white family moves into an African American neighborhood in South Central LA — proved to be a hit with audiences, and has becoming a TV staple by already airing five seasons.

The new season of The Neighborhood will bring viewers back to South Central to catch up with Dave (Greenfield) and the Johnsons as they continue to try and adjust to life outside the Midwest, and how their neighbors like Calvin (played by inimitable Black comedian Cedric the Entertainer) and Tina continue to be bemused by their sheltered worldview. The Neighborhood season 6 already promises to bring the same level of humor and heart that fans have come to expect from the CBS sitcom.

While the show is a sitcom and isn’t as story-driven, there have been some changes that’ll play into The Neighborhood season 6. Calvin has sold his auto shop, which will mean he needs to find new work or change his career, something Dave may end up helping him with, just as Gemma arranged a job for Tina. However, Calvin’s also been vocal about looking forward to retirement and that conflict could dominate the plot of The Neighborhod season 6.
