Negotiations are triggered after abusing an enemy's weakness. They will fall in combat, allowing Joker to do a wide variety of things. First, they have the option to perform an All-Out-Attack, a powerful move that will decimate the remainder of many Personas' health. Secondly, players can request money from the Persona, which can be used to purchase items in the real world. Lastly, players can request that the Persona join Joker's cause. Many Persona will ask for a negotiation, making it a bit harder to recruit them if the player doesn't know what they are doing. It will require a bit of social understanding, but it is fairly simple once players understand what is required. Here's how to win negotiations in Persona 5 Royal.
How To Win Negotiations in Persona 5 Royal
When holding up an enemy, it will have one of four different personality types, Gloomy, Timid, Irritable, and Timid. These determine how it will react to different answers. The four answer types consist of Funny, King, Vague, or Serious. Selecting the correct one will have the shadow emote in a positive manner. After a while of selecting the right answers, the Persona will offer to join the team as a member. Here is what each Persona personality type likes to hear in conversation.
- Upbeat: Likes Funny Answers, Dislikes Vague and Serious Answers.
- Irritable: Likes Serious Answers, Dislikes Kind and Vague Answers.
- Timid: Likes Kind Answers, Dislikes Funny and Vague Answers.
- Gloomy: Likes Vague Answers, Dislikes Serious and Funny Answers.
Players must be able to determine the mood that comes along with each answer on their own. Obviously, if an answer implicates potential murder, then it is for sure not going to be a funny answer. Use social ques to answer these correctly.
