Mandy Rose Wasn't Warned Of WWE Release, Removed FanTime Content When Asked

Two months have now passed since Mandy Rose was suddenly released by WWE. Just 24 hours after a historic run as NXT Women's Champion came to an end, reports started to circulate that Rose had been released, and content she had been posting on FanTime was the reason for that. Rose has not only confirmed that to be the case but revealed it happened even though she complied with everything WWE asked.

Mandy Rose Removed FanTime Link When Asked

Rose was a guest on Renee Paquette's The Sessions this week, on which she discussed when she was asked to take down her FanTime content and what happened in the days that followed. “No one brought it to my attention besides the night before I lost the title,” Rose revealed (H/T to Fightful for the transcription).

“It came from WWE legal. It just said 'take the link down.' I complied, obviously, it came from work. Took the link down right away.” Despite taking down the link for her FanTime page as soon as WWE asked, Rose still lost the title to Roxanne Perez the next day. Even though she hadn't been released at that point, Rose thought it was coming and even joked with other Superstars about it.

No Warning A Release Was Coming

Even though the message requesting she removed her FanTime content came the day before that TV taping, there was no warning from WWE that she was going to be released. No official hint that Rose was getting fired came until the day it happened when she received the call. “I never had a warning. I know there is news out there that says I was warned, I never did.”

Since Rose was no longer under WWE's employ after her release, the former NXT Women's Champion resumed business on FanTime and had what will likely be the best month of her life in terms of finances. $1 million earned through the page between her release and the end of December. Despite that, Rose confirmed on the podcast that had the situation been handled differently, she wouldn't have necessarily picked FanTime over her wrestling career carrying on.
