Lashley Ends Omos' Dominant Run In WWE At WrestleMania 38
In what some will see as a surprising decision, WWE has pulled the plug on Omos' dominant undefeated run as a singles star. Bobby Lashley said just because Omos was unbeaten didn't mean he couldn't be beaten and The All Mighty proved his theory correct, picking up a clean win over Omos at WrestleMania 38 on Sunday.
Lashley was the surprise opponent who accepted Omos' open challenge heading into the biggest show of the year. He easily represented Omos' biggest challenge to date, but there was still a ton of doubt that the former WWE Champion could do what no one else had been able to do; beat the giant. Lashley was the first to knock him off his feet last week and continued his run by being the first man to actually defeat Omos in a match.
This was Omos' best match to date in WWE. He moved quickly and with decisiveness, using his size and power to toss around what might be the next-most powerful man to him. Big arms to the back and a bear hug almost had Lashley down and out, but he fought back, hit a couple of spears on the big man and eventually landed a final one that was enough to secure the pin.

What Happens to Omos Now?
The reason this might come as a surprise to so many fans is that WWE seemed to really be behind Omos' push. He was running through everyone and it appeared he was going to be unstoppable force for some time. Now that he's lost a match, it's unclear what the company's plan for him is. Will he come back better and stronger than ever? Or, is this it? Has WWE given up on his push and decided he's not quite ring-ready to make a notable run?
For Lashley, this is huge. He's beaten someone that puts him back on the map as a top guy in WWE.
