Kevin Owens Says He'd "Jump" At The Chance To Return To NXT On Certain Condition
Kevin Owens isn't at all opposed to returning to NXT.
The Raw superstar spent less than a year as part of the black and yellow brand before being pushed to the main roster, having become NXT Champion. He has since held the Universal title, as well as the United States and Intercontinental Championships.
With Finn Balor famously returning to NXT last year, speculation over who could follow him back there has been constant. Owens is one of the wrestlers to have been linked with the switch and, appearing on The Bump this week, he said he'd be "okay" with heading back. He added that he'd jump at the chance to return if it meant he could compete for the NXT Title straightaway as he rates it as highly as the WWE and Universal Titles.

“The NXT Title is the top title on NXT and just the way that NXT handles itself," he said. "The way people view NXT I think that title is just as prestigious as the WWE one, the Universal one. If I were given the chance, like if they said ‘you’re going back to NXT, but you’re going to be competing for the NXT Title.’ First of all, if they came to me and said ‘you’re going back to NXT’ without the NXT Title part I’d be ‘okay.’ If the NXT Title was on the line as well, I would jump on that offer.”
Owens made a brief return to NXT late last year, when he was unveiled as Tommaso Ciampa's mystery partner for the men's WarGames match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames III, facing Donovan Dijak and Keith Lee.
NXT's Big Time
NXT is hardly considered to be a step back nowadays. Main roster stars aren't exactly averse to getting on there while some current stars are actually opposed to being moved to the main brands.
Also, wrestlers get to keep their main roster deals - at least that was the case when Finn went back - although they'd make less cash because they hardly appear in big overseas PPVs and house shows.
