Kenny Omega Bigs Up Brock Lesnar, Doesn't Want To Face Him Alone
Kenny Omega had some very nice things to say about Brock Lesnar, labeling him one of the best of all-time.
Dream matches in wrestling are discussed on a daily basis. The Undertaker versus Sting, CM Punk versus Stone Cold, or The Rock versus Shawn Michaels, just to name a few. One match not many will have considered is Brock Lesnar versus Kenny Omega. However, it appears to be one the AEW Champion has given some thought.
A fan recently asked Omega for his opinion on The Beast. Considering their different approaches to the business, The Cleaner's surprise might have surprised a lot of people. "Brock is one of the greatest athletes and performers of all time. I’d need more friends if I were to face him," Omega replied. The Elite beating down an invading Lesnar to end an AEW PPV sounds like a big money angle.

This time last year, the idea of Lesnar showing up in AEW was laughable. Fast forward to now, maybe not so much. Paul Wight and Tony Khan have teased a big signing will be announced at Revolution this weekend. Speculation has been rife ever since, and Lesnar's name is one that has been thrown around. His most recent WWE contract came to an end in 2020.
Very little is known about the man Lesnar compared to the wrestler. It's believed that both are basically one and the same. If so, Lesnar's loyalty to WWE might be worth sacrificing should AEW offer him the right amount of money. However, it's also well known that The Beast can be temperamental. AEW is an environment where those in charge might not know how to handle that temperament and get the best out of it.
On the flip side, some who know Lesnar have said he is a consummate professional when it comes to wrestling. That is especially true when he is given someone talented to work with, even if he doesn't know them. Just look at his matches with the likes of AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. Omega definitely falls into the same category as those two, so in the right circumstances, a match between him and Lesnar could well be a classic.
