The Attitude Era is sometimes remembered as the peak of wrestling television. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Undertaker, Mankind, the list of legends from that era are innumerable. With a stacked roster that featured many future world champions, there have been some feuds and bouts that are sometimes forgotten in the twenty years since the Attitude Era came to an end.

There were 63 pay-per-view events during the Attitude Era (usually recognized as November 9, 1997 – May 6, 2002). With a stacked roster and great storylines, there are way more insane matches than anyone could remember. This list will refresh fans on ten forgotten pay-per-view matchups of the illustrious Attitude Era of the WWE.

10 Owen Hart Vs. Edge - Breakdown: In Your House

Long before Edge was a seven-time WWE world champion, he was a young star trying to make a name for himself during the Attitude Era. He opened the show at Breakdown: In Your House in 1998 against wrestling legend Owen Hart.

This was the only singles match the two ever competed in and also featured the debut of Edge's longtime partner, Christian.

9 Val Venis (with Trish Stratus) Vs. Eddie Guerrero (with Chyna) - King Of The Ring 2000

Eddie Guerrero and Chyna helped rejuvenate each other's careers through their random pair-up in 2000. Eddie Guerrero competed in the King of the Ring tournament against Val Venis.

During this time, the two stars were shockingly fairly equal, in terms of placement on the card. With help from Trish Stratus, Eddie was defeated by Val Venis in a quick pay-per-view match.

8 Mankind Vs. Big Show - Backlash 1999

Mankind was the unlikely hero of the Attitude Era. The Big Show was a former WCW giant turn WWE main event star.

Mankind and Big Show only had two one on one matches and their Boiler Room match in 1999 was the best of the two. In the end, Mankind was ultimately victorious earning a victory in Big Show's only Boiler Room Brawl.

7 Chyna (with Miss Kitty) Vs. Chris Jericho - Survivor Series 1999

Chyna was no stranger to fighting men during the Attitude Era. She held the Intercontinental Championship on two different occasions and is still the only woman to ever hold the title. She once defended her title in a forgotten match against Jericho.

This is one of the most underrated intergender matches of Chyna's career. Miss Kitty helped Chyna earn the victory in a match that featured a Powerbomb and a belt shot on Chyna from Jericho.

6 Steve Austin Vs. Rikishi - No Mercy 2000

Despite Austin and Rikishi being two big names of the WWE through most of the Attitude Era, their first match didn't happen until No Mercy 2000. This is one of the most insane matches of Steve Austin's career, which is saying something considering Austin's career.

This No Holds Barred match ended in a no contest when Austin was arrested for trying to his Rikishi with his truck.

5 Edge and Christian Vs. D-Generation X (X-Pac and Road Dogg) (with Tori) - Backlash 2000

D-Generation X helped the WWE beat WCW in the Monday Night Wars. Their antics and insane gimmicks helped paved the way for teams like the Hardys and Edge and Christian.

The latter actually had a tag match against two members of DX at Backlash 2000. It was one of the few times the two stables competed at a pay-per-view against each other. Edge and Christian retained their WWE tag team titles in this matchup.

4 The Radicalz (Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, and Perry Saturn) (with Terri) Vs. Team Xtreme (Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Lita) - Armageddon 2000

The Radicalz's shocking arrival in the WWE in 2000 was one of the last nails in the coffin for WCW. The WWE roster was full of talent and fans looked forward to possible dream tag team matches. One of those matches was The Radicalz vs.Team Xtreme. They feuded toward the end of 2000 and competed in an intergender tag team elimination match at Armageddon.

The two put on one of the best matches of the entire pay-per-view. In the end, Dean Malenko ended up forcing...Lita, of all people, to tap out earning a victory for The Radicalz.

3 The Rock Vs.The British Bulldog - No Mercy 1999

The Rock and The British Bulldog were both huge names during the Attitude Era that clashed a few times but only had one pay-per-view match. The Rock had already been a WWE Champion three times by the time this match happened.

The two stars put on a great match that The Rock would win. It would also be the last time the two ever faced each other in the WWE.

2 The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) Vs. LOD 2000 (Hawk and Animal) (with Sunny) - Unforgiven: In Your House

Many remember Road Dogg and Billy Gunn for their time in D-Generation X, but they had a ton of success as a tag team without DX. The New Age Outlaws also feuded with LOD 2000 a few times in the Attitude Era.

The last time they competed as The New Age Outlaws, before becoming members of DX, was at Unforgiven: In Your House. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn retained their WWE Tag Team Titles in the last televised "New Age Vs. LOD" match ever.

Despite being two huge names during the Attitude Era, Ken Shamrock and The Undertaker only competed at one pay-per-view event against each other. The feud started when Ken Shamrock's "sister" Ryan Shamrock was sacrificed by The Ministry of Darkness in one of the most insane storylines of the entire Attitude Era.

Ken Shamrock lost the match due to inference from Bradshaw. It was the last time the two stars would ever clash on WWE television.
